May 3 Entry: New England Saturday night franks (Hebrew National all beef), brown bread and beans with blackberry cobbler for dessert.

Kentron's also a kindred spirit. Takes most of the fingers on both hands now to count them, Dec-May on the general forum... not too

shabby considering the waist high, philistine global culture that still abounds. Big Brown won the KY Derby going away with double digit

Eight Bells second out of an incredible field of twenty. Recommended Exacta paid $141.60 on a $2.00 bet. Sadly, Eight Bells broke both

front ankles past the one and a half mile finish line and was immediately euthanized, out on the track before presentation of the

wreath of roses. Stephen Foster's Old Kentucky Home, "All merry, happy and bright... Old Kentucky home so far away", was so very

nice to hear all of the colorful people at this festive annual event sing once again. Big Brown tore a hole in the wind in the final furlong.

Dear Diary,

It is blatantly clear that rum and Ritalin, even though they start with the same letter, don't mix well...

I woke up on the floor. It could have been worse, I went to sleep on a street, but a couple of concerned students thought it was a bad idea, letting a drunk with a broken hand snore in the middle of Rotterdam.

Now, the drinking took place at an African/Portuguese party. I was the only white person there, not to worry though I did the Celtic race proud Except at the dancing. It is clear that the Salsa is not one of my strongest competencies. No matter how much rum I drink...

It's also probably going to haunt me.
The dancing? No, me trying to chat up the community transvestite...

I did something quite similar in Wyoming a few years back...

They threw my stupid ass in one of their jails.

Not very hospitable of them I thought...

I thought the same Shav. And they took all my pot equipment too. I had to restock.

Let my lesson be yours.

Morning entry omitted a most welcome half hour call from my busy #1 Son this evening. Made my day. Always think of you, D, when

I happen to remember John Ciardi's, "Plain white paper waiting under a pen... the gift beyond history and hurt and heaven."
