June 4: Well, D, the decision has been made. You are being placed on paid administrative leave during the summer months. Purpose is

to allow a blue ribbon panel to complete its fact finding mission... in order to determine the extent, if any, to which you serve a worthwhile

purpose. Must candidly advise you that several influential members already believe you cost more than you're worth. Fingers crossed.

Good of you to understand and to leave graciously and quietly. Enjoy your time off. Try to be a good boy. And thanks for everything.

June 13, 2008 Another tornado. wiped out a scout camp, flooded three cities, downed trees in a hundred towns. At least the drought seems to be over.

Yet another day has slipped by, the 32 is crashing in closer and closer. Oh, wishing I could be a 15 year old again, so I could do some excessive posting on the internet, that doesn't exist yet.

June 14, 2008: Dear D, beginning to realize more than ever before that some internet sites are truly jungles and sad ones at that.

Seen bipeds with souls that make up their minds before ever even reaching the end of a sentence. We're talking members of the human

species with the teachability of donkeys and the attention span of a wounded ant. Imagine the disappointment of their parents. -gb
