I think it's a function of the circles you run in. I've never been in a circle where sleeping around and bragging about it was considered manly. If anything, bragging about it makes you - what's the word? - I suppose the sentiment is, "We all do it, we all know how good it feels." If one of us meets a new girl an ...[text shortened]... and your need to get out your 25,000 words a day, wind up talking about it alot more than we do.
And yes of course everyone hooks up with someone, they feel great and they want to share that great feeling with their friends. The problem becomes with the guy who's bragging about getting a different girl every night then in turn calls women sluts for having been with several men. Is he not just as guilty of the same offense? Women are now beginning to use this same mentality towards men.
Bottom line is it all comes down to maturity and mutual respect. If you are given the chance to share in a sexual experience with another willing person then where is the need to resort to putting that person down. If I have sex with a man then proceed to call that man a loser or a slut ect. then what does that in turn say about myself? Same for men. If you sleep with a woman then proceed to run around calling her a slut what does that say about your own judgement and preference? It serves no true purpose.
