@divegeester saidThere have been a few General Forum threads like this for you too, although I don't recall you ever getting 60 thumbs down.
I once lost my way in a business presentation to a group of 60 people, it was horrible.
@fmf saidThe subway car was all white except the one black guy who made a stand and wanted to know who did it. Good times 😄
What colour were the people who got off at the next stop?
That fart is my second worst all time.
The number one spot had me gagging and that is rare for someone to gag on their own fart.
@phil-a-dork saidWhy was the skin colour of a person you claim asked you about your breaking wind important?

@fmf saidIt tells the story.

Will you read a book that does not describe characters?
Do your stories not describe the characters involved?
The fact that he was black and the way he talked made it funny.
American blacks are different than blacks in the rest of the world.
American blacks are way funnier than other blacks.
If it wasn't for him and his reaction to the fart it would not have been funny.

Embarrassing And Awkward Moments
I was the only foreigner living in the 'frontier' town ~ a harbour whose hinterland was virgin rainforest ~ at the time, aside from a couple of aged Dutch Catholic priests, and I had helped teachers out in all manner of schools. I was asked to be the guest of honour and speaker at the graduation day celebration of a secondary school, and I agreed to do it. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about it and didn't show up. There were no phones and no e-mails back then, so it was what it was. A week later I was being shown photos of the event by one of the students. To my horror, there was a huge banner suspended across the stage emblazoned with my name and somewhat grandiose words of welcome.
@phil-a-dork saidWe all get to post whatever we want here, so no problem.
It tells the story.

However, your fart story just sounds puerile and made up, that's all.
Assuming your story is made up, I wonder why you chose to make one of the people mentioned in it a black man and why you specifically refer to him as black when it surely serves no purpose in your story.
@phil-a-dork saidSo you met a funny black man?

And he's the funny thing about your fart story?
Gosh.
@phil-a-dork saidThey had been there for forty or more years and didn't get asked to speak at events like the graduation ceremony as there was no novelty about their 'foreignness'.
@FMF
Why is the age of the Dutch priests important?
@fmf saidOh wow another social justice warrior...
So you met a funny black man?
And he's the funny thing about your fart story?
Gosh.
Boring.
You fly the Poland flag?
One of the most racist countries in the world but you question my fart story?
I dare you to take part in my fart experiments.
Even a clown like you would gag.
@fmf saidSo why did you mention their age?
They had been there for forty or more years and didn't get asked to speak at events like the graduation ceremony as there was no novelty about their 'foreignness'.
Are you an ageist?
You told the story and gave details.
That is how it happens.
And you call yourself a story teller.
I'd like to read your stories with no descriptions 🙄
@phil-a-dork saidI don't.
You fly the Poland flag?
Anyway, thanks for your story about a very funny black man and the part him being much funnier than many other kinds of black men - because he was an American black man - in making your fart story one of the most embarrassing moments in your life.
@phil-a-dork saidBecause, as I explained, they had been there for forty or more years and didn't get asked to speak at events like the graduation ceremony as there was no novelty about their 'foreignness'.
So why did you mention their age?
