Anyway, back to the original discussion...πŸ˜€

I absolutely could not come up with THE greatest album of all time, but I can make a list of MY all time greatest.

(Ha! I just remembered I don't have my cd's with me so I won't be able to come up with the names of all of them!!)

Metallica-the one with Nothing Else Matters on it

Nirvana-Unplugged

Counting Crows-VH1 Storytellers

Dave Matthews-Listener Supported or Crash...or Under the Table and Dreaming

Pink Floyd- The Wall (I think it has more to do with sentimentality, it has a lot of history in my life, but it's still the one I'd pick)

I made my picks by thinking, if I could ONLY have 5 albums, the rest I had to throw away, what would they be? I don't think I could only do with one Dave Matthews though, I'd need all three- hide them under my shirt or something...πŸ™‚ But I don't know, now I'm starting to think of others I couldn't live without- Styx, CCR, Journey, Tupac, Godsmack, the rest of Metallica, Bush, Korn, Tool...Ahh, I can't do this!!! I need more than 5, more than just 5! *Pulls out all her hair and weeps like a little baby* πŸ™„

Sorry people but Bob Marley's songs of freedom(4 disc album is the CORE of what he stood for. Even followers of him would have under estimated what he was about unless they've heard this album) has to be No.1.... MUSIC FOR THE SOUL
Tracy Chapman Collection
Best of Bob Dylan
U2 Joshua Tree
U2 1990-2000
David Gray White Ladder
Paul Weller Days of Speed
The Rolling Stones
Eagle Eye Cherry Desireless
Talking Heads Stop Making Sense
And all good intention'd, thought provoking, anti oppression,soul- soothing liberating music........
FOOD FOR THE SOUL
HAPPY LISTENING FOLKS
ps Pink Floyd does deserve recognition.... even though everybodys already listed it

Nobody listening to jazz? I've always found it the best music to play chess to. Kind of Blue, My Favorite Things, Blue Train... Rock music is great, but jazz is so often overlooked nowadays, sadly....
