Nobody listening to jazz? I've always found it the best music to play chess to. Kind of Blue, My Favorite Things, Blue Train... Rock music is great, but jazz is so often overlooked nowadays, sadly....
Actually, I've found that in casual games OTB, I can noticably improve my victory percentage by laying on some really out sun ra stuff (like space is the place) because it simultaneously disturbs the opponent and cheers me 🙂
hey, it worked for lasker with the cigars... I'm in good company...

what, in your opinion, is the greatest album ever? albums that'll have, like, changed the face of music? or are just a sheer joy to listen too. and none of this slipknot cause they fucking rule crap, i mean-my top two for it were the n/m the bollocks, and black in black...not maiden...(o.k.-so the next, like, 16 are maiden...but hey-nobody's perfect...)
...[text shortened]... from avalance for £12 or something, but £17? well-it is kinda worth it...not got it? go get it!)
Is he worth it?
Originally posted by missleadI've been listening to Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited a lot lately, and it's definitely worth it, esp. Ballad of a Thin Man, Like a Rolling Stone, Tombstone Blues and the title track. Other songs like Knocking on Heaven's Door, All Along the Watchtower, Rainy Day Women and Mr Tambourine Man (which are on other albums) are great too. Definitely worth it, if just for the lyrics...
Bob Dylan.

dfm65, I too have been listening to that Dylan album lately. My favorite track on it is 'Desolation Row.' Don't ask me to explain what the lyrics mean, though. 😏

It's about people missing the greater picture. They're too busy with their unimportant little lives to understand they're damning themselves (a very short synapsis of it).
