The best Dead Kennedys song is 'Jesus Was A Terrorist'.

Pretty much anything recorded by the Merseybeat bands of the early-to-mid 1960s. Man, there must have been something in the water in Liverpool back then. To have been a fly on the wall of the Cavern Club...

I must put on my jazz freak hat and say

Miles Davis -- "Kind of Blue" (some may say "Bitches Brew&quot😉
Sun Ra -- Angels and Demons at Play

Either of those will do nicely. :-)

Yay! Preach on, brother or sister, as the case may be!

Actually, I've found that in casual games OTB, I can noticably improve my victory percentage by laying on some really out sun ra stuff (like space is the place) because it simultaneously disturbs the opponent and cheers me 🙂

hey, it worked for lasker with the cigars... I'm in good company...

what, in your opinion, is the greatest album ever? albums that'll have, like, changed the face of music? or are just a sheer joy to listen too. and none of this slipknot cause they fucking rule crap, i mean-my top two for it were the n/m the bollocks, and black in black...not maiden...(o.k.-so the next, like, 16 are maiden...but hey-nobody's perfect...)

...[text shortened]... from avalance for £12 or something, but £17? well-it is kinda worth it...not got it? go get it!)
Bob Dylan.
Is he worth it?

I've been listening to Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited a lot lately, and it's definitely worth it, esp. Ballad of a Thin Man, Like a Rolling Stone, Tombstone Blues and the title track. Other songs like Knocking on Heaven's Door, All Along the Watchtower, Rainy Day Women and Mr Tambourine Man (which are on other albums) are great too. Definitely worth it, if just for the lyrics...

dfm65, I too have been listening to that Dylan album lately. My favorite track on it is 'Desolation Row.' Don't ask me to explain what the lyrics mean, though. 😏

yeah, Desolation Row is a great track too. it's not everyone who can sustain interest through an 11+ minute song...

Desolation row deserves a whole thread to itself!

It's about people missing the greater picture. They're too busy with their unimportant little lives to understand they're damning themselves (a very short synapsis of it).

So that's why Dylan says Einstein went around sniffing drainpipes and reciting the alphabet and playing electric violin. 😲
