Umm...because everyone who has seen the other movies knows that? If you have seen the first two (Menace and Clones), and liked them, then surely, you would've have looked around for the others? If people didn't, then they are, well and truly, idiots.

i don't really follow you, or maybe you didn't follow me!
i realise he wants people to be able to watch 1 to 6.
i just don't see why he gave away lots of suspense in 4-6 towards the end of 3 (for someone who hadn't seen 4-6).
i couldn't see what was gained by for eg telling us luke and leia's names!
say you're a kid who saw 1-3 and liked them, went and hunted out 4-6, now you'd know luke and leia were brother & sister, detracting from the luke-leia-han love-triangle tension ... for what?

Let's get a few things straight...
The films in order of greatness:
1. Star Wars: a new hope
2. The empire strikes back
3. The revenge of the sith
4. Attack of the clones
5. Return of the Jedi
6. The phantom menace.
There is a chance that III will climb a spot though. I'll have to watch it some more.
🙂
Take any other sci-fi film and ...[text shortened]... ve to do is unlearn to learn, search your feelings young padawans, you know it to be true!!!
1. empire strikes back
2. a new hope
3. revenge of the sith
4. return of the jedi
5. phantom menace
6. attack of the clones
realistically, the revenge of the sith had no chance of moving into the top two, so i think it's third place showing is the best i could have hoped for -- i really liked the movie (caught it last night).

BTW, I just saw Episode III this afternoon and I enjoyed it. That thing everyone is saying about George Lucas (that he can't write dialogue to save his life) is true, but the action did not disappoint, nor did the birth of Darth Vader. Thumbs up from me!
