@very-rusty saidYeah, I think there's a lot of negativity in the air just from the variety of reactions to the Covid situation: a lot of disappointment, anger, and mistrust going around.
Just when you think things couldn't get any worst. The most terrible Pandemic in 100 years comes along, so is life and we all bear it. It appears to have altered some people's personalities from some of thing I've seen said in these forums in the past year or so.

@very-rusty saidI’m sorry to hear that.
Any apology coming from you is meaningless to me so save it.
@very-rusty saidAnyone on this site can associate with me if they wish. I'm here primarily to play chess, or attempt to play chess, and as far as on - line friendships go I have friends here and I'm glad of it. If people have hissy - fits and throw their toys out of the pram because of this there's really not much I can do about that. I'm not 'the same' as anyone else, any more than are you, and if this is the depth of peoples' perception then there's not much I can do about that, either. Win away, dear chap, but bear in mind that for every winner there's a loser....
One thing to keep in mind on here and I could have P.M.'d it to you but have no problem saying it in public. Everyone already knows how blunt I can be. You have to watch who you associate with as you will be marked as being the same as they are even if you are not. Just the way it seems to be. I happen to be one of those people who have a thick skin, but also my Principles ...[text shortened]... laying the game. I find myself doing better and winning more games as I am much more relaxed.

@very-rusty saidRusty telling everyone his boring life story about his [capitalised] principles…yet again.

@divegeester saidYour posts remind me of chicken soup without the broth.

@kevin-eleven saidThat’s very interesting Caesar Salad, why don’t you see if you can paint a picture of that.

@divegeester saidWhy don't you see if you can improve your chess skills?

@kevin-eleven saidWell I am already rated higher than you.
Why don't you see if you can improve your chess skills?
Did you not realise that ?

@divegeester saidSometime I must add keeping track of your rating to my to-do list.

@kevin-eleven saidIf you intend to mock someone because of their chess rating don’t you think it would be expedient to know what that rating is compared to your own?
Sometime I must add keeping track of your rating to my to-do list.
@divegeester saidI hope you appreciate that one of my threads has a much higher participation rate than any of the home-grown, supply-chain-problems, second-rate, cat-destroying kibble that you have been scattering around with such reckless abundance.
