Nah, too bossy. 😠
LOL....And Politicians aren't bossy? 😉

Our Premier told everyone to stay the Blazes home at the start of the Pandemic. "Blazes" would be similiar to the 'f" word!!!! It worked too people actually started listening and keeping their distance, wearing masks. He was upset, (actually very angry) about a party a bunch of young people had on a beach with no masks or seperation.

Its my contention that the powers that be wish to drag this out as long as possible for political reasons. How about this... Let nature assume its rightful place as head of the human table, and get on with our lives. The immutable truth born out empirically since the dawn of humanity is that we are just smart enough to completely balls everything up.

It isn't a Political issue, it is world issue! If we have the means to stop it then why not do it?

Because the human species is ever increasingly at odds with nature. The potentials for these events is just ever increasing function of time. Nature is always trying to wipe the slate, and we are always pushing too hard against it almost entirely ill informed about its "intentions". The natural world runs itself like a wet dream compared to human society. We are talking about a bio diversity of species in a cooperation so complex that it almost entirely unfathomable maintained in near perfect balance right before our very eyes...what do we continually do? The exact opposite of what its trying to do, and every time we come up short of understanding the big picture.

We can agree to disagree on our outlook on this!

Don't you think enough people have already died world wide, and it isn't over yet!

"Don't you think enough people have already died world wide, and it isn't over yet!"

Do you not see that the human race is extremely artificially elevated beyond what is sustainable in the natural world? Every year 60 MILLION people died before COVID was ever around. It doesn't even put a dent in our growth. And every year we keep extending out our mortality. It doesn't take much cognitive effort to see how this ends. The population will eventually stabilize, but it will be so artificially inflated we will exhaust the recourses earth has to offer at a record breaking pace. Mass death is going to find us, and when it does its going to be fugly.

Then figure something out instead of going with it.

I have the solution. Let nature trim the herd in normal ways before its simply out of the question. What we know from studying Nature is that the rates of change of all things ( our impending human suffering included ) is proportional to the potential difference between its current state and its state of natural equilibrium. We are constantly and unwittingly increasing that gap.

What if you end up being one of them, are you good with that?

Don't be too quick in your answer really think about it! I don't know if you have children or grandchildren or anything about you. Many of us do and would like to see them grow. Us older folks will die off making room for our future generation.

Yes I have young children. If I am one of them...so be it, its beyond my control. If I have to die to right the ship so that they or their progeny suffer less in the long run, it is a no brainer. Our time on earth is fleeting, and none of it is guaranteed. You will eventually transform and leave this earth, but your progeny will carry a part of you with them forever as they persist, if they persist. And in that way ( in the very least ) you will always be with them.

Imagine that this was not a virus and instead a hungry bear that you happened to come across as you walked with your family in the forest. Are you not going to sacrifice yourself to save them? Instead, we are trying to deny them the walk in the forest. If they can't walk in the forest and enjoy life then what is the point in bringing them into existence in the first place?

they'll stone you when you don't wear a mask
they'll stone you and not even ask
they'll stone you if you show your nose
they'll stone you if your flap isn't closed
but you're not alone
everybody must get stoned

If you encounter a bear:
1.Stay calm. If the bear sees you, talk in a low, calm voice and then regardless if it has seen you or not.
2. Back up slowly. Never turn your back on a bear, or run. ...
3.Do not stare. ...
4.Give it space. ...
5.Do not run!
6.Use your bear spray as it approaches.
Play dead or fight back.

You don't always have to fight your way out or give up your life same as with virus, there are ways to fight it.

This bear isn't actually a bear VR. Its a metaphor for nature being fundamentally at odds with humanity. Its insatiable. It must eat. You can fight it all you like ( and should do so to buy time for them to escape ) But when it comes right down to the very last step in your list. If it can't slake its hunger with your flesh, it is going to eat your children, or your children's children...will you sacrifice yourself to give them a chance?
