@earl-of-trumps saidRepublicans, evidently.
Trans has been trendy for a while now.
But I wouldn't put any more weight to it than a foot fetish - as in, who gives a truck

@fmf saidAnd what of yourself? Do you support the hundreds of laws that have been passed across numerous liberal states in recent years that seek to discriminate against, harass and demonize christians and republicans?
I doubt anyone is worried about whether you go down on "bended knee, showering the trans with kissy-faces and glowing accolades". More to the point, do you support the hundreds of laws that have been passed across numerous conservative states in recent years that seek to discriminate against, harass and demonize trans people?

@divegeester saidGood question. The implication being of course that no christian or republican has ever been discriminated against, harassed or demonized.
What laws have been passed to discriminate against, harass and demonize christians and republicans?

Dave. "Do you support the hundreds of laws that have been passed across numerous liberal states in recent years that seek to discriminate against hamsters?"
Kevin. "Have there been such laws that discriminate against hamsters?"
Dave, "Ah, you're implying there have been no discriminating laws against hamsters..."

@ghost-of-a-duke saidOkay, here's an example. A christian baker who faced the choice of violating his (or her) deeply held beliefs or be sued and run out of business by a litigious gay couple. There were plenty of bakeries in the area that would be happy to sell the gay couple a wedding cake, but for some inexplicable reason they wanted a cake made for them from a known christian.
You said hundreds of such laws have been passed. It is not unreasonable to be asked to provide an example.
I'm saying "inexplicable reason" with tounge in cheek, because it's painfully obvious why the gay couple targeted the christian bakery. They could have bought a cake from a business in line with and supportive of their lifestyle, but chose not to do so.
You're a reasonably intelligent fellow, do you think perhaps the gay couple were too stupid to anticipate what might happen?

@kilroy70 saidYeah... none of that happened. The case was made up by the baker. The "customer" didn't order a single thing.

You know, I'm a Christian, so I know a thing or two about what Thou Shalt Not. Has it ever occurred to thee that thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour?
@shallow-blue saidIt's happened more than once, and I lived in the same area the first time it happened. I know for a fact there are other bakeries in the area that would have gladly made a wedding cake for them.

I don't believe they (the couple) were being stupid or naive. They knew full well what they were doing, and what they were trying to accomplish.
@divegeester saidCan you explain how someone can be harassed with a spurious lawsuit when no law exists as a basis for that lawsuit? Is that how it works in the UK? Can anyone sue anyone else for no particular reason?
So, is that no laws… and you were just making it up?
You seem to have a fair amount of natural intelligence, so what's the problem?

@kilroy70 saidAs a reasonably intelligent fellow, I think a person's sexuality shouldn't be a factor in whether or not a baker decides to sell them a cake.

That's my view, as a reasonably intelligent fellow.

@kilroy70 saidAnd I'm sure a great many of those bakeries had Christian bakers.
I know for a fact there are other bakeries in the area that would have gladly made a wedding cake for them.
The idea that gay couples should equate a Christian bakery as a 'no go area' for wedding cakes is a nonsense. Not all Christians are as fundamentally stagnant in their beliefs.
