I dunno, I've had a few films recommended to me recently, but I ain't seen em. Anyway (as I'm sure I've said on another thread):
The Thing
The Shining
Freaky as F. Props to John Carpenter and Ennio Morricone for what they came up with at the time, musically... I guess there's some scarier films but I can't remember them at the moment...
... but I know this will sound weird.... if you ever feel like it for whatever reason, put Humanity pt..1 on cordless headphones, the theme tune to The Thing, walk around your house when you're the only person there at night... it will set you on edge! Not a bad buzz by any means...

White Noise was not bad.
Boogyman was interesting until near the end then it just flopped.
I have not seen the last one.
