Better than Saw ,have not seen Saw 3 yet
3 is really good as it shows scenes from in the first movie of them setting up the whole scenario which I thought was really cool. I still had too many unanswered question at the end of it though. Things that didn't make sense. That irritates me.

Originally posted by TSaffleThe Company of Wolves is a great film. It's not particularly scary but there's something freaky about the way it manages to be a horror story and a fairy tale at the same time.
Anyone see - To The Devil A Daughter - has Natasha Kinski in her first role and nude
also - In The Company of Wolves - cool warewolf transformations.
and this is not a horror movie exactly but - Irreversible - will freak you out

I enjoyed The Stand as well. Not as big of an impact on me as 'It' but I was only 13 when I read both books. I have never been able to stomach watching a Stephen King novel turned movie. The always manage to botch it all up. 😠

Has anything come close?
I think the only reason Jaws got me is because I used to be irrationally and morbidly terror strickened by sharks (I had a brush with one that drew blood...in the ocean...) - much less so now, I can at least pet sharks now and make it through the Shark Encounter at Sea World. Used to be that I could not do that.
As to movies -
I have seen many good "horror" movies, but nothing that has really scared the piss outa me.
I have seen everything listed here since my last post. Some good, some not so good.
To answer the question, Nothing that has really scared me. I have gotten a jump or jolt from a few movies, but nothing that has lasted more than a moment.

Seedpods, I have not seen....
X The Unknown sounds familiar, may have seen it, may not, I honestly dont recall. I have been watching horror movies since I was about 8 or 9 and have been looking for something to scare the **** out of me since I was about 15....that was in the 80s...
"X The Unknown" was a story about a radioactive blob that went around sucking the life out of people. In a way it's similar to the original blob movie, which is also very scary! *shivering*
