@drewnogal saidPeople are still dying of covid, too. Maybe more since people stopped vaxxing and boosting. We just don't hear about it because everytime someone runs a story about it, they get bombarded by the anti-vax crowd.
That is so sad. Just read up on how it had affected many of his organs. Worrying to hear as I have heard of someone who recently went into hospital with Covid and has also had a heart attack.
After everything we went through for covid, I managed to get it at work from some fool who came to work with it. But 5 days later, it was gone. My symptoms were minimal, but I'm boosted out the wazoo, too. And I stayed home for 5 days, burning my sick leave, because some jerk couldn't be bothered to do the same.
@suzianne saidI believe they are calling covid the new flu suzianne.

@very-rusty saidAnything to deny that it can be fatal for some people. They forget that people die of the flu, too.

@suzianne saidThere’s no law to self isolate in the UK any more. The person I mentioned had a booster early December. He’s always been fit and healthy to my knowledge and is 10 years younger than I. Worrying how it randomly affects some more than others? My friend of 76 had it in 2022 with no symptoms at all and I had mild flu symptoms. Yes, we’re wise to keep up with our vaccinations. We can never tell how it will affect us.

@the-gravedigger saidOur increased consumption of ultra processed, convenience foods that are high in trans fats, sugar and additives is making us sick. The more we eat of it the less we consume of more natural foods It’s been proved to cause inflammation which is linked to the increase in the rates of metabolic syndrome and cancer.
