I like her glasses. 😛
I think you are right on here SJ!

Palin is way too inexperienced to run this country, McCain obviously made a bad choice and now all he can do is damage control. Her inexperience is obvious from her interviews.

I hate to say this but as a female and mother I seriously question Palin's motives to accept such a position as this time in her life when she obviously has so many other commitments.
Having a newborn baby with Down's Syndrome, her 18 year old daughter pregnant and 3 other children at home. Throwing them all into the national and world spotlight while reporters scour their lives with a fine tooth comb, putting them up on a stage in front of the whole world.

The question I keep asking myself, would I be so critical of a male VP candidate in the same position?

😕

You're acting as if she needs softer treatment than the average run-of-the-mill politician. That is the double standard.
Are you kidding me? You can't turn around without getting smacked in the face by some news line stating that Palin is horribly unqualified to be Vice-President. Every liberal pundit, talking head, or politician who's commented on her has read from the same script. Never mind that the exact same argument could easily be applied to both Obama or Hillary. But it isn't because they're democrats.

Hillary and Obama both have more experience than Palin.....I don't think you can count her time as Mayor of Wasilla as appropriate experience to run the country so I am only counting time as Governor and that is less than two years now.

Funny. As a satellite subscription holder, I'm stuck with two channels for election coverage; cspan, and fox. Maybe you should tune in to a little bill o'reilly, hannity, rove, etc...and report back your findings. Each morning I have to log into MSNBC for an equalizer, before my head pops.

I don't buy the argument that experience in government is a requirement for becoming VP or even president. In fact I would argue that it's a negative. The more time that politicians have spent in government, the more likely they are to be corrupt.

Take that argument to its logical conclusion and you'd never elect anyone to any office, because they'd not have the experience "necessary". Washington and Eisenhower certainly couldn't have been elected.

We already have mothers giving birth and returning to work after six weeks, because we have nothing in place allowing for longer paid leave, and people cannot afford to pay ever increasing percentages of hospital bills on an unpaid leave to care for babies.

The fact that Palin is a woman does make this harder for me to swallow, because it makes me uneasy with her obvious stance on the issue.

You have an argument with Washington but we were a new country. In the present, which I like to live in unlike you, we need a person with experience.

Funny, before Palin entered the fray, liberals were all screaming that we need CHANGE. And we should ignore Obama's inexperience because we need CHANGE so very badly. Strange that now we need experience.
