I feel the same about her as I do anyone who prematurely accepts a promotion; she is too selfish (or foolish) to realize her lack of experience and knowledge will be a detriment to both her reputation, and her employer's well-being. She would have been better off to spend several more years in development, working her way out of Alaska into a less rural/more diverse area. She's a plastic hammer, a prop, a cute tool.
I like her glasses. 😛
Palin is way too inexperienced to run this country, McCain obviously made a bad choice and now all he can do is damage control. Her inexperience is obvious from her interviews.
I hate to say this but as a female and mother I seriously question Palin's motives to accept such a position as this time in her life when she obviously has so many other commitments.
Having a newborn baby with Down's Syndrome, her 18 year old daughter pregnant and 3 other children at home. Throwing them all into the national and world spotlight while reporters scour their lives with a fine tooth comb, putting them up on a stage in front of the whole world.
The question I keep asking myself, would I be so critical of a male VP candidate in the same position?
😕

The same things being said where? What exactly has been said about her that has you so edgy. By whom, and where? If you're going by blogs, maybe you missed those which claim Obama is the devil?
You're acting as if she needs softer treatment than the average run-of-the-mill politician. That is the double standard.

Originally posted by mlpriorI don't buy the argument that experience in government is a requirement for becoming VP or even president. In fact I would argue that it's a negative. The more time that politicians have spent in government, the more likely they are to be corrupt.

The fact that Palin is a woman does make this harder for me to swallow, because it makes me uneasy with her obvious stance on the issue.

Take that argument to its logical conclusion and you'd never elect anyone to any office, because they'd not have the experience "necessary". Washington and Eisenhower certainly couldn't have been elected.
Originally posted by tomtom232Funny, before Palin entered the fray, liberals were all screaming that we need CHANGE. And we should ignore Obama's inexperience because we need CHANGE so very badly. Strange that now we need experience.
