@suzianne saidI am not tilting at a "windmill". I am just engaging your chosen online persona here. Until not long ago, your profile 'slogan' was "I'm here to take down numbers and kick a$$". I think that pretty much sums up an awful lot of what you choose to post and encapsulates your particular brand of online disinhibition.
Don't let me stop you from tilting at windmills, though. Even though it becomes tiresome, it's still worth a chuckle occasionally.

@suzianne saidI have no idea how many people see it the same way as me. Why would it matter to me how many people agree with my estimation?
I think you, with the possible exception of a couple of "hangers-on", are about the only one to characterize me, or my writing here as "angry" or "scornful".
@fmf saidAgain, you're just trying to score forum points (or something) by talking me down. I don't see my Spirituality posts that way at all, and, given the overall quality of posts in the SF, I am far from the weakest poster there. I'll cop to being unconventional, but that's it.
I've missed very few of your posts on the Spirituality Forum where so many of your posts are off-topic, paranoid and scornful, it has made you one of the weakest posters among the regulars.
I doubt you're convincing anyone who already doesn't hate me in that Forum.
But, you know, you do you. That's certainly what you're best at. And no, that is not a compliment.
@fmf saidThis kind of tropism from you bores me to tears every time you engage in it. You're better than that, but I understand that by now it's your "brand" and you can't abandon it. Too bad.

@trev33 saidThe RHP Prose contest 2021
[cut]
Edit: maybe post the rules of the prose again Pondy before we run off topic as always. Working on something.
Rules:
* We do a contest for original prose, written by RHP members. So please contribute only things you have written yourself. All material should be thought of as copyrighted and authors who wish will be attributed to their work. (Those who wish to be anonymous can get that also.
* Language is English.
* Length is no more than 1000 words (excluding the title).
* Topic is "Murder Mystery".
* You can send your entries either via (sometimes multiple) PM to me. Or you can send a file with a reasonable format (txt, rtf, doc, doc, odt, pdf (not secured) ) to Ponderable_Dickens@Yahoo.com. I will try to send receipts. Please contact me if I don't (it has happened that mails were in the SPAM).
* each author can send in up to three contributions. You can always change contributions, send edited versions, or pull back if you want to until I posted the stories.
* The competition ends in six weeks time: 8th of March 17:00 GMT.
* I will create a new thread with the stories, in which can be voted (three votes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd).
* If the story can't be posted on the Forum I will try to identify the reason and streamline accordingly (If you don't want this to happen try posting the story to see if it goes through yourself , don't forget to delete it immediately after the test.)
If something comes up, I will add to this set of rules.
@suzianne said"Oh, the irony" is the polite way of saying "Gosh, you are such a hypocrite, how many thousands of your scornful posts have actually applied far more to you than they do to the person you are berating?" That's what "Oh, the irony" eludes to.
MOTS, that's all this is, and by extension, that's all you are, as well.

@ponderable saidAre we to expect a contribution from yourself again this year sir?

@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou can. The storyline is there, I am fighting with the how to at the moment.
Are we to expect a contribution from yourself again this year sir?
Thank you for asking.
And az alwayz look for se akzent
@suzianne saidI’m not confused as such, just pondering all your documented life stories, heroics and adventures.
How nice for them.
Conceptually, I get it. I can pluck out a scale or two. I understand the whole concept that each fret is a half step and that the strings' ranges overlap. The guitar itself is not that big a mystery to me. My hands just can't do it. My eye-hand-brain coordination just doesn't move in that direction. Sorry if that confuses you.
I’ve been fortunate enough in life to meet some very skilled people, some very brave people and some very spiritual people. But you are the only person I’ve come across who has been visited by angels, duffed up countless sexual molesters in bars, saved countless lives on the streets, can play multiple musical instruments, has played in rock bands and has even been abducted.
Astonishing.
PS did you, as a non motorcyclist, get to buy that 650cc 0-100 in 5 seconds speed machine you said you were thinking of getting?
@divegeester saidThe piano speaks to me. I feel it. As much as I try to goad inspiration from the guitar, it remains frustratingly silent. No epiphany comes.

That's my best effort at explaining it.
Edit: Nice edit. No, I'm not apologizing for anything, least of all not for not being boring. It is what it is, simple as. I give thanks to God every day for what he has given me. When is the last time you thanked him for what you have?
