It helps, of course, that I absolutely love mist and fog. 🙂 (I would insert one of my favourite poems here, if it were not in German. 😉 )
Thanks very much.
For anyone who's interested it was taken at the top of Mount Adams (if memory serves) in New Hampshire. I had spent hours climbing the 5774ft and at the top it was so misty, wet and cold I couldn't see anything. But I was so hot from climbing I was wearing only a t-shirt!

Thanks - I always like to get some background info. It did look cold, I could almost feel it. 🙂 Hm, no idea how much 5774 ft are, and I am too lazy to look it up now...

(Ignore the increased fuzziness - I'll take it down after you've had a chance to look at it.)
I think I prefer the less cropped version. I like it with a lot of the salt plain included to show the vastness of the emptyness, which is dotted with "islands" like the one I took it from. I think sometimes that vast nothingness can be interesting and add to/make a photo. Just my own thoughts. I'm a bit biased though. 😉

You never said whether you preferred the cropped version or the one I submitted. 🙂

Go to http://www.joshmadison.com/software/ and download some freeware called "convert." Great program for converting English to metric and vice versa.

Well, in that case... What about this one? http://home.online.no/~khgott/393141256eGcLxM_ph.jpg 🙂 I didn't really get an impression of vastness and emptyness before, because there was about the same amount of island as of the salt plain. I didn't really like to cut off that cactus on the right, though. But I still like the cropped version better. Hmm, now that the cactus is gone, it might be an idea to crop a bit at the bottom, too.

I am not sure I like it better, though.
