Yes, No, No.

Have you heard any of the other bands I listed?
Modest Mouse, The Melvins (love the Melvins) and Pavement. I think some others but I'm not sure such as Sterolab.

Japan and EU couldn't stomach "69"?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Undertow_%28Tool_album%29

""Disgustipated" is track 69 on most pressings in North America. It also appears as track 39, track 10 (mostly in Europe) or as a hidden track following "Flood" on track 9[citation needed].

On certain Japanese imports, "Disgustipated" is track 70, with a short live version of "Flood" as track 71.

I think both Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinard are good.

I disagree, they are both pretty boring.

I prefer SY's nineties releases to their eighties ones. Namely Goo, Washing Machine, Experimental Jet Set...

But you are right about the Pixies, they are 80's. I just didn't start listening to them until the nineties.
Evol is my favourite SY album, up there with EJST&NS and Goo. Washing Machine never clicked for me, I wonder why...

I find Lateralus a much more mature and interesting album, though. Tool is excellent, but the last album was a bit disappointing.

we should distinguish between rock n' roll, and actual rock music which evolved later. i think you are mixing them up and so are many others in the thread.

Good point, I guess. So rock started with - Blue Cheer?

what are you yammering about?
Aerosmith is best in all of rock, then zeppelin, then pink floyd (tied with zeppelin) then CCR, then skynyrd, then steve miller band, then hendrix then the stones and queen, then sabbath, then GnR, and that's it for all the more-than-one-hit-wonders

Be nice Arby, he doesn't know Zepplin is a lip sync band. Be patient and let him mature.
