I would not have liked it, would have said so... and if HoH wasn't going to change it I would have left the clan. Just because the media was idiotic to post these images and play his little film doesn't make it right.

Can we please get together an action group to remove all american flags, any pictures of military vehicles, airplanes, parachutes, etc, etc from this site, as I'm sure it's offensive to the millions of people who have lost people they know recently.

I wasn't happy when people were making jokes in the tsunami threads.. or bombings in London. I have not seen a thread about this subject, but yes.. I would be bothered.

I had some friends in thailand when the tsunami took place. their bungalow was actually smashed to pieces when the wave hit it. they've got pictures of themselves running from about a 3m high wave chasing them (taken by some other guy farther away). they survived it, but in one of the pictures there's a woman getting smashed against a palm tree by the wave, maybe 20 meters behind my friends. she was never seen again.
all of this we found out a lot later, because there was no way of reaching our friends. all of their stuff got lost, and in the ensueing chaos it took almost a week before they got any message through to us. it was pretty intense not knowing if they were dead or alive, but it never prevented us from making morbid jokes about it all. and I think it was even easier for us that way, but I'd never crack any of that stuff around my friends who survived it all of course.
I think it's better to laugh at death than cry, but whatever works for you...
