Blair Witch was excellently done and very original. Now, if you want to talk about a waste of film... well, that would have to be Blair Witch 2.

Also, S1mone, Fast Sofa, Dumb and Dumberer.

I just can't see what people like about this movie. It's not scary, it's not entertaining, it's not funny, the acting is horrible. The camera work is horrible. Yes I know it's supposed to be, but even still.... The idea is'nt original......I can't think of a single reason why I would recommend this movie to anyone, unless I did'nt like them.

This is one of the few movies I ever lost money on in my video store. I paid thirteen dollars each for three copies, and at two daollars a rental I never made my money back. Most new releases I was paying thirty-sixty dollars and making my money back easily.

If you want to see a cabin in the woods movie get "the evil dead".

Independence Day isn't that bad. Unless you consider all Hollywood formulaic movies whereby an all-american hero saves the world from commie alien scum to be bad.

[EDIT] Supermod nearly threw a fit there. the scm word with a u in the middle is out of bounds.

I will disagree on one movie, John Carpenter's remake of "the Thing" was great. When the movie was made the first time the industry did'nt have the capibility to bring the plot to life.

You're losing your already-mostly-sabotaged mind, my dear. The Blair Witch Project is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen, and I've seen my fair share. This is a movie that has no blood, no monsters, nothing that we can visually be afraid of, and it's one of the only horror flicks that actually places us RIGHT in the situation as it's happening. I loved how the movie carried itself and I feel really sorry for anyone who laughs at this movie, cause they're obviously missing that one part of their imagination that would make them love it. The sad part is, if this movie had been made back in the 60s by, let's say, Alfred Hitchcock and more or less none of the content was changed, it'd be known as one of the greatest (if not most ambitious) horror movies ever made. Go figure.

Speaking of love, have a Merry Frickin' Christmas, Nyxie! 😉

Merry Christmas, dummy.

I totally disagree, for one, alfred hitchcock was'nt that scary. There was some blood in blair witch perhaps you should watch it again. The movie is not scary. There's nothing scary about listening to kids kids stomp around the forrest complaining and crying for two hours. It's just irratating. Low budget 60's film? Night of the living dead, still scary.

There is a test, if you can watch a movie twice in a row, and it does'nt bore you the second time, then it's a good movie.

Now can you explain why My video store lost money on such a "great" movie? The copies shold have been flying off the shelf if this movie was so great. Obviously I'm not alone here in thinking it sucked.

I will give allowances for many movies, as I love all kinds of movies. But this one movie I will never change my oppinion on. It is not going to get better with age, it will not slowly become a classic as others have done. It is my duty to insult this movie for the tripe that it was. Imagination is a great gift, and it's great if a movie inspires that. But the movie should fill in something. I should'nt have to imagine, the plot, the acting, the scary parts, the entire film would have to be imagined better. At that point I'd just be imagining something better.

I hated this movie.......

Door in the Floor.

Rented it w/ my Boyfriend's parents to make it worse....

Masturbation, sex scenes, (consentual) statutory rape, and an affair... plus a horrible ending telling how their 2 boys had been killed years earlier...

Worst movie ever!
