In light of your failure to nominate competent candidates for President of the USA and thus to govern yourselves, we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately.

You did well at this for a while but you failed in the long run.
I can now see why George Washington turned on the British.
Are you aware that your federal reserve is a private organisation that is not run by your government? Are you aware that under your constitution you are not mean't to pay income tax? Taking these two things into consideration, don't you find it strange that Americans have been paying income tax since the 1930's? Do you know where that money goes?? Not a single cent has ever been spent on an American citizen!!
All the money goes to pay off interest on your Nations debt!
It doesn't pay the debt, oh no, your taxes do that, it just pays off the interest.
Who is that debt owed to? Ummm, could it be the federal reserve perhaps? Don't you think there's just a teeny weeny conflict of interest going on there?
George Washington was a man of integrity, who cared about the freedoms of every day Americans deeply. He was willing to fight a war to enshrine the freedoms out lined in the declaration of independence, a document that is increasingly not worth the paper it's written on.
By all means disagree with me. Heckle, do what you like, but for Gods sake look into it. I posted this in debates the other day but it's relevant so here it is again...

It is primarily about money but focuses on the American system towards the end. Watch it, it's enlightening!

I have generally been impressed with the point of view expressed in your posts. Are you under the influence tonight? These comments are so unsupportable by fact as to make me wonder.
Wait.... have you been on the Mother Ship with Arrakis? I thought so!
😲
EDIT:...and no, i'm not under any influence. If you think i sound overly critical of America, i can see your point, i've got heaps more to be critical of my government! America frustrates me immensely because it affects my life considerably, both psychologically and financially yet as i am not a citizen of the US i have no recourse to do anything about it. Writing long posts in an internet forum in the vain hope of sparking some interest in some every day Americans is the best thing i've got so please humour me at least.
EDIT 2: actually you made it clear, missed that...
American citizens who voice decent are persecuted and villafied to such an extent that they either keep their mouths shut or become completely ostracized.
After 9/11 there was significant dicent voiced over invading Iraq. Most thinking people could see it was made no sense, Bin Laden and Saddam in tandem? Not likely! Yet the mainstream media, not to mention the government labelled these people unpatriotic. This is what i was refering to, you don't need a source, i'm sure you can remember.
Then there was the "weapons of mass distruction" lie. When i became apparent there were no weapons, no quarter was giving to anyone deviating from the offical line that, suddenly, that was not why we went to war. It was such a feet of Orwelian double think, in plain sight (every single press release up to that point had repeated the same mantra, weapons of mass distruction, over and over) then suddely... No that's not why we went to war.
No discent from the press. No questions from the press, just smooth brushing of the facts, neatly under the carpet. Dissent is dead in America, it's as good as illegal. Thanks to the 'special' relationship, it is also pretty much the same here too!
All the Worlds oil (with the exception of Iran) is now controlled by the United States and Saudi Arabia, in a World that is completely Dependant on it.
You're right, i'm wrong here. I totally forgot about Russia!! I'd like to see the pie chart though, i recon The Saudi/US slice pretty much covers it...

Russia is the world's #2 producer of oil, Iran is #4, China is #6.
The US is by far the biggest consumer of oil, consuming about as much as the next four (China, Russia, Japan, Germany) combined.

What a great post. This sums up what I feel about America too. BTW the states murdered millions of people in the vietnam war.
2. The U.S. did not even kill 'millions' in Vietnam, much less murder them.
3. For perspective, Pol Pot was responsible for the murder of an estimated two million of his countrymen; Stalin was responsible for the deaths of 10 millions Russians; the Germans murdered six million Jews and other minorities.
4. It might be of interest to you to read the history of Southeast Asia under the colonial French, the war in Vietnam from 1945 - 1954 (French vs. Communists/nationalists) and the subsequent 'Vietnam War' involving America and others. I think the facts will surprise you.

Were these "American football guys" from the NFL? If not then it isn't even worth comparing! Anybody that isn't in the NFL is most likely at quite a lower level in terms of skill and athleticism.

2. [...T]he suffix -ize will be replaced by the suffix -ise.
1. Actually, the American spelling ("aluminum" ) is etymologically more correct, and was also the name given to it by its discoverer, Humphry Davy.
2. The idea that -ize is an Americanism is also rubbish. -ize comes from greek/latin... in British English -ize is therefore preferred for words derived from a greek or latin (rather than a French) source. Go check with Fowler or the OED.
I can't be bothered to carry on. Go Obama!

It's really classy the way you actually so the right thing for once, and help stop the Nazis, and then think that you can lord it over those of us who didn't hesitate to aid our fellow man. America has never been the first to enter a major conflict, unless they're invading someone else on false pretences. You're WELCOME????? Holy crap, Get over yourselves.
p.s. - regarding WW2: You're Welcome.
