George Washington was a good man, the British were and are controlled by a money elite. During the inseption of the United States one of the most fundamental driving instincts was to be freed from corruption and religious and economic persicution and control by the rich powerful elites of Europe. I couldn't possible give supporting articles to everything i'm saying here, i'm covering to many different sources in one argument. I intend to write this up properly quite soon (for my own clarity) and will attempt to site it. What do you find hard to believe, perhaps it's easier to do it that way...

EDIT:...and no, i'm not under any influence. If you think i sound overly critical of America, i can see your point, i've got heaps more to be critical of my government! America frustrates me immensely because it affects my life considerably, both psychologically and financially yet as i am not a citizen of the US i have no recourse to do anything about it. Writing long posts in an internet forum in the vain hope of sparking some interest in some every day Americans is the best thing i've got so please humour me at least.

American citizens who voice decent are persecuted and villafied to such an extent that they either keep their mouths shut or become completely ostracized.

After 9/11 there was significant dicent voiced over invading Iraq. Most thinking people could see it was made no sense, Bin Laden and Saddam in tandem? Not likely! Yet the mainstream media, not to mention the government labelled these people unpatriotic. This is what i was refering to, you don't need a source, i'm sure you can remember.

Then there was the "weapons of mass distruction" lie. When i became apparent there were no weapons, no quarter was giving to anyone deviating from the offical line that, suddenly, that was not why we went to war. It was such a feet of Orwelian double think, in plain sight (every single press release up to that point had repeated the same mantra, weapons of mass distruction, over and over) then suddely... No that's not why we went to war.

No discent from the press. No questions from the press, just smooth brushing of the facts, neatly under the carpet. Dissent is dead in America, it's as good as illegal. Thanks to the 'special' relationship, it is also pretty much the same here too!

1. Please get a dictionary and study the meaning of the word 'murder'.

2. The U.S. did not even kill 'millions' in Vietnam, much less murder them.

1. Actually, the American spelling ("aluminum" ) is etymologically more correct, and was also the name given to it by its discoverer, Humphry Davy.

2. The idea that -ize is an Americanism is also rubbish. -ize comes from greek/latin... in British English -ize is therefore preferred for words derived from a greek or latin (rather than a French) source. Go check with Fowler or the OED.

In looking at this site, Middle Eastern countries (not Saudi Arabia alone) have 65-70% of proven reserves. North America (which includes Canada and Mexico) has a small and declining share (due in part to the influence of eco-nuts limiting new exploration and drilling). Am I missing something here?
