I wonder?
How come your councils empty your bins every fortnight when we in Wales, England & Scotland have to wait 3 weeks?
Hmmmm. Maybe their economy is better and they can afford to?🤔 Over here it’s every week.👍

It’s every two weeks were I live; it’s a local council decision.

Food waste and recyclables every week and general rubbish every two weeks... our population is tiny, rates have been going up to pay for it though.

If there was any chance of a conservative win if ended with Nigel joined reform. Current government is rubbish and labour government will also be rubbish.

The Tories are going through an existential crises of their own making.

Labour will win this time by default, but not because of Starmer.
Then they lose massively in 2029 after their lies about not not raising taxes are exposed; which were actually exposed last night when Beth Rigby had Starmer on the spit roast.
The Conservatives will assimilate Reform who will get somewhere between 15 and 20% of the vote and become The New Conservatives and be back in power in 2029.

My prediction.

I think they should rise taxes... They should also increase the tax allowance however. Keeping it at 11k or thereabouts is essentially a tax increase as people's pay goes up yearly.

Put it up to 15k and increase taxes. The lowest incomes will be better off and the people on high wages will cover it.

Decreasing national insurance when the NHS is in a mess is also daft.

@trev

Reform’s “contract” with the British people comes out on Monday and is set to include raising the basic tax threshold to £20k from £12.7k. This will encourage many on benefits to return to work, will lift struggling families on low income and also encourage pensioners to return to work part time and earn extra tax free income.

VAT limit on small business up to £150k. £85k is robbery, it’s punitive and it’s holding smaller businesses back from growing and hiring.

A brilliant policy imo.
