@medullah saidIt was the second time Suzianne had typed exactly the same words on this thread. And yet, surprise surprise, that didn't trigger a reprimand from you.
This is a good example of unnecessary ..................

You can't resist oozing your narcissism all over the forum, can you?
@divegeester
Oh do shut up you dull, humourless harpy.
@medullah saidHave you asked Suzianne, Ghost of a Duke, Very Rusty, woofwoof or any of the other members of the Ghost Chamber club, which you are a member of, who indulge in what you are complaining about … or do you just take issue with my posting?
Fun for who?
Who do you think that partakes of these forums enjoys the personal insults, that are on a par with a school playground or the yobs that pretend to be learned people in Westminster?

@medullah saidIt’s not possible to read the forums without first joining the site and every single person without exception, who joined RHP initially joined to play chess. A tiny tiny minority then find the forums and choose to either read them, to contribute to them or ignore them. As can you.
If somebody thinking of joining in reads through a thread pitted with spiteful mud slinging it's hardly going to attract anyone unless they like a good barney.
So your point is moot.
@medullah saidI think the truth of this matter is twofold; 1) you are still simmering from a disagreement you and I had in the spirituality forum a few weeks ago, and 2) you are exercising the partisan part of your medulla (sic) in order to score some brownie points elsewhere.
One can lead a person to Carshalton duck pond, but you can't make them walk around it.
If you feel this comment is an “attack” on you, them please do feel free not to “retaliate” 🙂

@divegeester saidFist of all I suspect that Woof is dead ............... but moving on I'm not singling you out. Suzie kicked it off, as I've acknowledged.

I'm suggesting that personal insults and attacks are not the way forward.

@divegeester saidI'm not aware of anything that you have said or done that has annoyed me?

Anyway, things to do, catch you later Mr Geester.
@fmf saidNot at all. Dive was presenting a forum that didn't have new people viewing it. (And was immediately suspicious of anybody who did). I suspect the forums have a lot of transitory traffic. This kind of thread is a good idea, welcoming more people in.
That wouldn't bode well for the longevity of the site.
This sounds like you have a touch of Grampy Bobby Syndrome. He also insisted that this chess website would be doomed ~ presumably all the chess games going on would just peter out ~ without the General Forum.
And I have alerted the above post. The mods always remove that false accusation. (And have done so again on another thread).

@ghost-of-a-duke saidThe longevity of the site and the busyness of the General Forum are not linked.
