@divegeester saidStories like this give me hope that you are human after all.
Cheddar trivia:
Before we were married I took my wife to Cheddar gorge and we climbed a sloping side of the gorge, which was a very reckless but fun thing my friends and I used to do in our “let’s camp at Glastonbury” days.
It was a problematic ascent and my wife started quietly crying about half way up when the footing became loose and the roots we were using for ...[text shortened]... dog trundled happily past. My wife quietly said through gritted teeth “you mean there is a path up?”
@suzianne saidI managed to take a couple of blocks of cheese from Ireland to Peru via Madrid and they survived fine, probably any hard cheese would make the journey.
Try some Tillamook Medium Cheddar. It's worth it, but not sure if it would survive the trip to England. Working my way through a 2 lb. block in my fridge. This cheese has won awards. Or you can choose to remain provincial in your cheese snobbery.
Reminds me of another story walking around New York in transit with a bag of passion fruit because they Wouldn't keep them at the airport luggage storage due to the smell 😂
@trev33 saidWas that irish cheese or Irish cheese? Or maybe Irish Cheese?

@trev33 saidIs that a tradition when you visit Peru?

@petewxyz saidNo, their cheese is pretty awful so it was just for personal taste, the idea of cheese there is that if it's solid it's now cheese 🙈 tbf some of it melted was fine and in general I do prefer the food there than here but cheese and Guinness I always missed.
Is that a tradition when you visit Peru?

I enjoy Parmesan grated cheese that you would sprinkle over spagehetti, sauce and hamburer with different onions and mushrooms and other seasoning in it. It is done in layers and then baked with shredded marble cheese over the top. The Parmasen grated cheese is sprinkled over the top of it.
