Just what the world needs - MORE Bob frickin Geldoff publicity.
I'm sick of seeing his stupid, smug face on my TV and I'm even more fed up of hearing all the Dawson Creek style puesdo babble he blurts out. 😠
What negativity dude!
I wouldn't miss any oppertunity to watch Duran Duran play...just to be vicious about them!

Infact, they might as well get an ACTUAL usless arrogant Irish monkey to present it... it'd be far more entertaining than Geldoff whining on for hours 😛

Do you reckon they should give Bono the job then? He's well up in advanced save-the-world presentation techniques.

In my opinion, Geldoff does the same! He just goes off on one with all these wierd metaphors and imagery and never seems to know what he's talking about. It's like someone else writes stuff for him to read out and he just reads it, thinking he's sounding smart! Just like in Dawson's Creek!
What do you mean, Dawson's Creek? It's crap, granted, but I don't see the connection.

So who would you prefer to front it?
Geldof along with Ure was the architech of the last one so why shouldn't he present it again.
I think people these days just like to bitch for the sake of it.
Ah, I see what you mean now. To be honest, it only took a couple of Dawson's Crack viewings to disgust me completely, so I never got as far as analysing the dialogue. Then again, half the time TV is all about body image above words (JG Ballard's short story Why I want to f@ck Ronald Reagan" offers a good illustration of this)--and now that I think of it, there is a sinister correspondence of hairstyles--both Dawson's & Geldof's are pouffed up a bit, really, commenting ironically on disproportionate volume-substance trade-off on the part of both characters.

Anyone but Geldoff presenting it would make me happy, I just don't rate him as a presenter. They way he talks makes me want to change the channel everytime I see him on tv, which is a shame as I'm all for the idea of Live 8.
