It's important to know the difference, or, you can stop beating this thread any time now.
Threads are dead per definitionem after they have been closed. Only Cadwah's Game thread was revived twice.

Interesting observation: Now we have The 5th of September and 25 threads in which has been posted. For August stand about 50, for July a bit more than that (some of those deceased).

"Threads are dead per definitionem after they have been closed."

An autopsy of number of threads posted to and number of threads closed is insignificant in comparison to the volume of posts in a present time frame compared with the past in determining the liveliness of any forum on the internet .

So, not without strenuous effort; since when did that deter any of us in the pursuit of an objective we deemed worthwhile? Besides, who wants to traipse around graveyards and archival catacombs needlessly? Let's save our laziness for old age.

The day will come when I'm no longer able or capable of caring about Red Hot Pawn, its members, public forums and one private club forum. Right now I do happen to care and I care intensely. Many shortcomings are mine but I've never been guilty of doing things worth doing half heartedly off or online. Criticism I value, whether from a friend or almost friend.

Why is it some people feel proud about "never doing anything half-heatedly"?

Some things are not meant to absorb our very inner being, these are the things which are of minor or just lesser interest or importance, they form a backdrop to our lives and daily activities. Obsessing over RHP the way you seem to do strikes me as being potentially unhealthy.

Astonishing that you are pretending to interpret that verse in his way.

It isn't.

We discussed this a long way, but still participation is oscillating (probably a good Fourier transformation of post numbers would give us more insight in amplitude and period. ).
