These billionaire guys paid 250k each to go to the bottom of the ocean to an historic graveyard which is about 2.5 miles down, where the pressure is nearly 400 times as much as at the surface, to visit a shipwreck which they can only see on a small monitor, in a cramped tube with no windows, with no seats and which was controlled by a modified PlayStation controller.

You get better views on the tele. I also don't get the morbid interest in 'seeing' something which is effectively a subaquatic graveyard.
'Look, loads of people died horrible deaths here, let's see if we can get a closer look.'
Weird, if you ask me.

I can’t imagine a scarier trip.
I wouldn’t do it even if I got paid £250k to go.

Mmm. Nice thought, Rookie. If a tad inappropriate.

I agree. I , too, wouldn't have gone for £250k

Absolutely awful. They must have understood from the beginning of this adventure everything that can go wrong. I read in the morning news that they have picked up knocking sounds and hope to locate them - not many hours of oxygen left but maybe it will work.

The wreck of the Titanic.
There is some irony in this. The Titanic was a luxury cruise ship which sank with millionaires aboard J J Astor, for example), and now billionaires go on luxury cruises to join them.

I wouldn’t call it a “luxury” cruise, but I see the irony you are pointing out.
