Arrakis was trying to do something constructive. A fair few female players liked the idea.
To try and make him the villain is ridiculous.

Yes, it can't be policed. It depends on good will and honesty among the RHP community. I would like to believe that good will and honesty exist, at least in the majority of cases.
It is clearly not unworkable. What you mean is that some people will lie while others will deliberately try to wreck something just because they can.
I will continue to say those people are wrong.
And as to the idea that the "vocal male forum protestors" are standing up for non-discrimination - well, please. They are doing it either because they are sheep or because they think it is amusing. I would be very surprised if they stand up for equality away from RHP. Doubtless they are too busy browsing porn.

What I'm saying is that 'silent males' are an even bigger problem for the tournament, even though the vocal ones have drawn more attention. An idea becomes unworkable when it is too easy for a deceitful or silent few to wreck it.

I hate to break it to you, but the idea of a 'women's only' tournament isn't very original. The US women's championship used to be that way, before AFC took over.
