Nice one parra, I still haven't as yet managed to pull off a smother mate, they look like they could be rather satisfying.
Below could involve a very unsound pawn sac with 14... d5
I'm thinking if white took on d5 with the knight (instead of the bishop), he could have been fine, but as it happened I was granted attacking tempo which leads to forced mate in 1 or 2 moves.
This is of course excluding the idea that he could throw in a useless check on g8 with the Queen.
I'm not sure if my thinking is accurate though, as I haven't ran the game through Fritz, but my guess is that it was a mistake for white to castle kingside.
On a good note, this win makes my rating 1659, which is my highest to date 🙂
A swindle after dropping a piece, or another lesson in development??? The mate materialized "from the blue", but also with some help from my opponent.
