also, my name's Ouermyhte, not Quermyte 🙂
This is only partially true as the effects of caffiene are limited. Caffiene is actually a poison, it is the stuff that your body produces to fight this poison that gives you the "caffiene buzz" and after a while your body runs out, that's why after a while caffiene no longer produces the highs but actually causes you to tire. Something like Ginko Baloba, which increases blood flow to the brain would be more effective as a Chess Drug.

It is too bad that this thread has degraded to name calling, maybe it should be in the debates forum rather than the chess forum.

An author who should introduce such a sport of words
upon our stage would meet with small applause.
--Broome.

5. Diversion of the field, as fowling, hunting, fishing,
racing, games, and the like, esp. when money is staked.

6. (Bot. & Zo"ol.) A plant or an animal, or part of a plant
or animal, which has some peculiarity not usually seen in
the species; an abnormal variety or growth. See Sporting

that deceiveth his neighbor, and saith, Am not I in
sport?'' --Prov. xxvi. 19.

I don't get your general drift. I don't even get what you are talking about half the time.
Great men don't worry about their spelling? If you want to be understood and taken seriously presenting yourself well is essential. By making no effort in your posts you set yourself up to be ignored.
I have opinions, I make no apology for that. Personally I feel I have made contributions to these forums whether it is in helping to anaylse a game or debate about religion. I never claimed to own the forum.

For a debate both sides must present reasoned arguments. You haven't done so. Therefore this can't be a debate. Try listing all the reasons for your point of view again in an ordered fashion. Then maybe we can do something.

T those who have the capacity to think. At least 124 goverments believe CHESS IS A SPORT.
Although chess may appear sedentary it put great strain on the nervous and cardiovascular systems.
Just because you cant see the strain doesnt mean that its not there.
Itr has been known for a Chess player to loose more poundage in bodyweight over a % hour match of chess, than a boxer in a 12 round boxing match. Argue that one away girls.

I dare argue against it. However as you don't listen to what I say I'll stop wasting my time.
And wait you start a thread about whether or not chess is a sport. I disagree and argue my point yet I should start my own thread. So only people who agree with you should post in your thread? That's pretty arrogant my friend.

He seems to go to a lot of threads and treats everybody like dirt ,i think he thinks he is superior to everyone else what a shame.

Lord of the chessboard , yes it does matter. It matters because funding increases. It matters because it is more of a sport and beneficial long term than other so called sports. Not every one wants to see Football, or baseball or baketball on their TVS every night. So called sport has been killed by the money men. They have destroyed sports as we know them. So we need intelligent sports out their for a balance.
So yes it does matter.............

What funding would immediately open up if chess was declared a sport? What TV deals would miraculously appear?
