First of all, I haven't refuted Qxd. By that, I mean that I can't find a position where Black is winning with best play from both sides. However, I have found that White has no advantage and black may even have a tiny edge. This is in accord with the chess databases.
Now, in regard to Qa5, unsound is probably too strong of a word. The red flag was when ...[text shortened]... reat for White. Best play should yield a draw and imo, 3. ...Qb6 gives black good chances.
- both players at least 2200
- only games from 1985-2006

If you can find a forced line in Qa5 that puts black in a bad position, please do tell me so that I can realize the utter failure that Qa5 is...otherwise, I maintain that it's it's fine...
White isn't any better after Nxd4 as opposed to Qxd4
you do realize that opening databases don't consider the middlegame and endgame right?

Moreover, the results from actual games speak for themselves. The line I gave you scores 70% for White when adjusting for recent games and ELO. (both over 2400) There is no forced tactical win, but clearly there is a positional problem. Engine games give similar results. White has a steady edge. Also, the middlegame and endgame is highly determined by the opening you choose. You can't have a terrible opening and suddenly a fantastic middlegame. If your opening isn't giving a good position and your opponent plays well, his advantage will extend to those aspects. Moreover, the database considers only results so in a way it does consider middlegame and endgame. Qa5 may be fine, but the current results don't suggest this. Perhaps there is a saving line. What do you consider the line with best play for both sides, please post it. I will tell you if I think White can get an edge.
Anyway, your claim that Qxd is equal to Nxd is unsupported. I'm not saying this because the statistics show it is not so and the engines do as well. I'm saying this out of common sense. White loses a tempo and gives black forced moves which do not make any problems for him. GMs Alburt, Perelshteyn and Roman all believe the same, as does any serious GM. Qxd is weak and serves only as a surprise weapon. Against the HAD, the best responses are:
- the c3 variation
- the main line
- the Maroczy bind
I'm not going to argue this any further because I know the truth and do not think there is really any controversy on this point.

as far as Qxd4 goes
4. Qxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 Nc6 6. Qa4 d6 7. e5 Ng4 8 . exd6 Qxd6 9. Nb5 Qb8 where I don't think that white is any worse than the main Nxd4 lines.

I've pretty much decided to stop using the Sicilian Dragon, as I find it too uncompromising, which isn't me at all. Coupled with that is that I hate playing the black pieces in the Yugoslav Attack.
I've always been trying to decide between the Dragon and Accelerated Dragon, and have picked the more positional Accelerated Dragon to combat e4.
any Dragon devotees who can persuade me otherwise?

In my opinion, all his comments seemed designed to antagonise everyone and little else.
How can we find out whom is banned?
Does a ban mean you can neither read nor post or are you just prevented from posting?
