His OTB games at the British were weird. I went over one game which proved to be nineteen or so moves of theory! But some of his blunders / bad decisions were the sort you'd expect a much weaker player to see. I think he just lost his nerve after the first few rounds and was beatable by just about anyone.

[b]I hope you don't mind my asking... but how does one "come across as a bit of a cheat"?[/b
Some lovely endgame technique from the Man here. Not many players would have played 40. ... b4 as it looks like White will be able to win Black's queenside pawns, or at least sacrifice his knight for them and get to a drawn ending where Black's bishop doesn't control the queening square for his last remaining (rook) pawn.
Edit: I'm going mad - the bishop does control the queening square!

Never mind those - seadevil has gone at last! User 51824
So the Cludi saga is resolved; nine months too late. Better than never I suppose. Good riddance.
Shanenoack was pretty obvious; virtually all of his early games are at beginner's level and then all of a sudden his ability becomes 2200+. Good riddance.
I ran one of SeaDevil's games (I was looking at his opponent who is also a cheat) and his match up with Fritz's first choices was the highest I'd ever seen; 28 of 32. Others ran analyses with other engines in other games and got similar extraordinary results.
Good riddance.
South Sniper was another well known cheat (there are plenty of others). Good riddance.
Kudos to the secret Game Mod team for finding the obvious and to the Site Admins for finally pulling the trigger on some of the more blatant cheats.
Originally posted by wormwoodI don't think a OTB blunder, quite possibly in time trouble and in a lost position, should be considered evidence of cheating here.
