Some of you want me to skip the first uninterested moves of the game. The first interesting move is however a very subjective matter. So my plan is to let you find out yourselves which is the first truly interesting move. I'll stick with my plan to give you one, and one only, move a day.

That game hardly shows best (or even particularly good) play on black's part. Rarely is handing out free pawns at move 8 a good idea.
"Passive" is hardly the right word for the french. I rather like the french defense, and I prefer to think of it as patient.
But I'd rather not argue.
