Point of fact, Skeeter has had a lengthy ban imposed before for a similar event (though personally, I thought her justified in what I understand to be the specific instance).
Regardless, while I'm an advocate of significatly greater hardball action regarding forum abuse, 3 years is sounds excessive. Its almost a made-up value: anything over 6 months and you may as well declare a permanent ban, as that is what the effect will be.

C'mon, drop the nice guy act. You know full well that there was no need for you to resort to begging for Rec's to support your crusade. You already know and it's been mentioned and suggested to you many times that the correct channel for this incident would be to send feedback to the Moderators, so don't try and get on your presumptuous high-horse about it.
