Translate what? You got the correct translation of "Zugzwang" and "Zwischenzug", and additionally I translated "Zug", "Zwang" and "zwischen" for you, so what else do you need?

when you search for zugzwang

1 similar result for Zwichenzug
Zwischenzug {m} in-between move

it doesn't even give a defintion for zugzwang...
WHY!!
cos it isn't spelt correctly
When I search for Zugzwang in the German-English section, I get two results, one of which is "Zugzwang (Schach) ("Schach" meaning "chess) - zugzwang, compulsion to move." And believe me, there's nothing wrong with the spelling.

yep im wrong sorry.. 😉

but im also english and know no other languages..

This thread should be titled Zwichenzug then becase thats what I wanted to know.. I learnt about this move from the chessmaster tutorials he pronouces both words practically the same.. sorry I thought they was same thing.. but I've done few searches now and they're different.. I already knew about zugzwang moves just wasn't aware it was called that till I went though the chessmaster tutorials..
and when I searched http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de searched for both words and got same result..but now has changed.. I dont know if somebody added new definition as we was talking in this thread.. but now its changed.. for some bazaar reason..

plz note Nut.. is short for Nutter = crazy person heheh 😀

That's a bold statement, given the amount of utter gibberish in the "General" forum.

LOL, that's a program for beginners. You should be more worried about people using Chessmaster or Fritz against you.

Zwichenzug is an inbetween move in a combination, often a check. Edit: According to that blog, it can also just be a waiting move.

Zugzwang is a position where a player has only bad moves, and would love to pass if he/she had the option.
Just in case anybody doesn't know what to believe yet:
I'm German
and the quote above is correct except for the spelling: Zwischenzug!

That's correct. The very next post you submit from this point will be to your disadvantage.
