The American Humanist Association, for example, is placing ads on city buses that say things like
"In the beginning, man created God."
or
"You can be good without God."
I don't know if imbedded links work on this site, but I'll try:

Originally posted by sumydidWow! are there really ads like that? I'm in brisbane australia but i don't see any 'agressively athiest' ads ...or agressively christian ones for that matter. I guess the people here are pretty docile when it comes to that stuff. But i'm pretty sure they have stronger views in private

You aussies are too busy slammin' 48 ounce mugs of cold Fosters to worry about spiritual warfare, LOL
I don't really get mad personally, when I see anti-Christian ads, stand up comedian routines, or prime time TV shows like Charmed for example that glorifies Wicca.
What I get upset, or, more like sad about is the young ones that are still developing their paradigms... the easily molded ones that don't have a lot of family support and are easily persuaded... it's those that I can't stand the thought of, reading an ad like that or visiting the wrong place on the web and getting caught up in a web of deceit.

I'm not claiming that it differs at all. I'm agreeing with you. The Old Testament is reprehensible regarding attitudes about homosexuals.
Originally posted by FMFWith respect that is just your opinion vs mine. I'm sure you would never mix with the darker side of Islam. I however maintain my view on this based on global and local observation.
I live among Muslims with "mainstream islamic attitudes" and I don't think that they would consider scherzo 'one of them' at all. It is unfortunate that you ascribe the "dark truths" you feel you are discovering from interaction with scherzo to millions upon millions of moderate Muslims. Your brush is extremely wide. And the 'scherzo's significance section' your terms of reference is extremely narrow.
