I am unimpressed with your Appeal to Authority. I consider it to be "child sacrifice". I understand that you don't.
Fair enough.

We will have to agree to disagree. ^^

Abortion is the killing of the unborn, it used to be limited to when it was in the womb, it is now outside too. Not calling it was it is, doesn't change it is the purposeful death of a hopeless child. In child sacrifice they used to throw them on the hot alters where the children would burn to death and their screams were drowned out by the music the priest would be playing, ...[text shortened]... you are making judgment calls suggesting one is okay and not the other, what kind of person are you?
I am not interested in debating abortion with you on this thread.

Do you agree with me that the government should intervene to protect children from their religious parents if those parents are going to allow those children to die for want of available medical treatment for dogmatic reasons?

KellyJay wants to debate abortion. It's an issue probably as close to his heart as any other. That's what he wants to debate. I can respect that although I would like to hear what he thinks about Government v a Person's Religion. But he is determined not to address it.

Millions of deaths don’t interest you, your selective outrage is amazing!

Alright, I see what you are saying, but they are not taking an action which they believe will cut themselves off from God, and subsequently hoping for what is more or less a miracle to save them.

This is foolish, but there's nothing about this way of thinking that is like some ritualized sacrifice to God.

If a man in a hurricane decides to keep praying inste ...[text shortened]... e the logical mindset of a Jehovah's Witness -- not one of consciously encouraging the child to die?
Killing a life to make someone else’s life better is sacrificing that life, gods don’t have to be involved? You think an Atheist should be able to kill the same way and it is not bad because they don’t have a god?

"Selective outrage"

You don't "recall" my stance on abortion, right?

Any thoughts on the OP topic?

I think it’s selective out rage!
Accusing people of sacrificing their children when that is not the desires of the parents, while ignoring the millions of deaths which is exactly what was wanted!

But I'm not "ignoring" anything. Do you think JW parents, for example, have the right to let their infants, toddlers, pre-teens, adolescents, and teenagers die [when they have the legal guardianship over them] for religious reasons?
