@medullah saidGreat post. The people who keep trying to live by the commandments of Christ. These are the people acceptable to Christ.
I hate the word church. To me the word Church represents everything that I despise about organised religion, from it's hypocrisy to it's dabbling in politics; from it's uncleanliness to the deceptions that it tries to cover over including Pedophilia.
On the other hand the word Congregation is beautiful. It is the people that fail but keep trying in their imperfection to f ...[text shortened]... e that you would die with if it came to it.
To me these people are betrayed by the word "Church".
@Rajk999
Thank you, it is from the heart.
It is about those who fear God above men, whose love of the teachings of Christ surpasses the love that so many have of the traditions of man. Those who who will accept ostracism from their family in order to follow those spiritual things that they know to be true.
Got to stop - must not get above 250 words 😉
@medullah saidYes indeed. You can tell the false teachers, they post volumes about calling on Jesus with the mouth, calling Lord Lord over and over.. Never once would you hear these people make posts like what you have just made.

@medullah
I do not hate the word church because Christ will present her to Himself without spot or wrinkle or any such thing.
"That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word, that He might present the church to Himself glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she would be holy and without blemish. " (Eph. 5:26,27)
So the church will be perfected and made glorious by Christ. It is a precious word.
And Satan will be put to shame by a church without wrinkle of oldness or spot of defect or "any such thing". So "church" is a thoroughly positive word in the eternal scheme of things.
Medullah, Rajk999, Ghost, Divegeester will try to shut the door to the church.
But Jesus says He will put an open door before the church which NO ONE can shut.
Some will got through the door all the way into the next age of the kingdom.
See how positive and precious the word church is to Christ in His letter to the church of "brotherly love" - Philadelphia.
"And to the messenger of the church in Philadelphia write:
These things says the Holy One, the true One, the One who has the key of David, the One who opens and no one will shut. and shuts and no one opens;
I know your works; behold, I have put before you an opened door which no one can shut, because you have a little power and have kept My word and have not denied My name. " (Rev. 3:7,8)
In the end times the will be a churching people who are not mighty or exceptionally strong and powerful - they have "a little power". They are no like a powerful world wide organization with political clout. But they have faithfulness and they have endurance. And through the opposition of the haters of Christ and of God they endure and love one another as brothers.
"Because you have kept the word of My endurance, I also will keep you out of the hour of trial, which is about to come on the whole inhabited earth, to try them who dwell on the earth. I come quickly; hold fast what you have that no one take your crown." (vs. 10,11)
As Enoch was vindicated and was raptured out of the world before the flood of Noah came to judge the earth so a remnant church of brotherly love already has the crown. They only need to keep it. And the world wide great tribulation is coming. But Christ will demonstrate that some are worthy in the church on earth to be taken out of the hour of that trial.
Why? Because they have already learned the lesson of endurance, holding fast the Lord's name, and keeping the word of Jesus' endurance though in themselves they have only a little power.
Church is a wonderful word.
Church is a word full of promise, positive hope, vindication and precious to Christ.
I want to be a participant in such a church.
@sonship saidLet’s not blame Christianity given that no two Christian’s can agree 100% on exactly what that label entails.
@kevcvs57
Some children have been raped in Church but sonship the mighty right hand of god, is going to prove that church is a positive thing in spite of its history of oppression and exploitation of the poor and its unwavering support for some of the most authoritarian regimes ever generated by man.
It is true that in Christianity many sins have be ...[text shortened]... believers are emerging to form a critical mass amid the degradation to bring Him back to the earth.
The Church is by definition and in reality a hierarchical institution and like all hierarchical institutions it’s main purpose is to protect itself and expand its power and influence. I’m sure that would have been at the expense of true faith.
A group of like minded people gathering together to express and celebrate mutually held spiritual beliefs is not what I’m referring to as Church in this context.
@divegeester said?
Is that a yes or a no sonship?
Are all Christian denominations included in your description or not?
The church comes out of Christ as Eve came out of Adam.
What is not of Christ is excluded by the cross of Christ.
The church is of the life of Christ completely.
And she is produced by Christ speaking to her and washing her with the water of the living word in order to wash away every defect of the old nature.
"Husbands love your wives even as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word., that He might present the church to Himself GLORIOUS, not having spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that she would be holy and without blemish." (Eph. 5:25-27)
Christ died on the cross for individual sinners on one hand. But in a larger sense Christ died to OBTAIN this church. For the church He gave Himself. How cannot the church be a positive entity.
It is a part of Christ Himself. He cares for her as He cares for His own Body. He cares for her as a man would cherish his own body and a proper husband would cherish his dear wife.
"In the same way the husband also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his own wife loves himself.
For no one hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church, because we are members of His Body." (vs. 28-30)
Every marriage is a pointer to the deeper reality that saved human beings are corporately the Body of Christ and His wife. He cherishes this entity as a man should cherish his wife. She is a part of him.
"For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.
This mystery is great, but I speak of Christ AND THE CHURCH." (vs 31-32)
Church is a beautiful entity and a beautiful word for she is Christ's counterpart, Christ's wife and bride brought forth FROM Him and being presented back TO Him without spot, wrinkle, defect, or any such thing.
He will build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
@divegeester saidYes or no sonship?
Is that a yes or a no sonship?

Regardless of how people frown at the word the church is positive thing. And Christians should pray for it and expect it to triumph with Christ.
For Christ is made the head over all things for the benefit of the church.
"And He [God] subjected all things under His [Christ's] feet and gave Him [Christ] to be the head over all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all." (Eph. 1:22,23)
When Christ is given all authority in heaven and earth He eventually all this headship of Jesus is transmitted down to His perfected church. He is to head up all the universe. The church, His mystical Body, takes the lead in all creation to submit herself to Christ's universal headship.
Though we may not see the healthiest expression of this yet. We will surely see it. God has a way to raise up the environment in the world to give all His people the incentive to be headed up under Christ the Head. But a remnant will not wait for the great tribulation to provide this incentive.
I want to be a part of any cooperation in the church to acknowledge and live under Christ's headship over all things. Let the accusers, the doubter, the naysayers, and go on. The day is coming when a call will go out:
"Now has come the the salvation and the power and the kingdom and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brothers has been cast down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
And they overcame him . . .
And THEY overcame him . . . [not the other way around] . . .
And THEY [the accused brother] overcame him [the Devil and his horde of accusers] because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul life even unto death." (Rev. 12:10b-11)
What are the factors of the church's victory over the gates of Hades?
The redemption of Christ.
The proclamation of the FACTS.
The denial of the self that Christ might fill the church as the
fullness overcomes the day and night attack of the gates of Hades against the
church that Christ will build.
@sonship saidSorry to interrupt you copy pasting from your church leader’s latest ministry but can I ask you this …
For Christ is made the head over all things for the benefit of the church.
Are all Christian denominations included in your OP description?
Or not, and if not then how do you decide which ones aren’t?
The church is the EKKLESIA. She is the called out assembly. She is called out of the world. The world will never approve. The world approves its own. But the church is a supernatural entity called out and assembled to be filled up with the presence of Christ.
The battle for this has been long. But Christ will head up the church and grow in the church and be "the fullness of the One who fills all in all."
Before the turning of this age to the age of the kingdom a CRITICAL MASS of overcoming Christians will furnish Christ a beachhead to come back.
And this remnant will make herself ready for the wedding day when at least a critical mass of the saved will spearhead to first stages of Christ's union with the church.
"After these things I heard as it were a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah! The salvation and the glory and the power are of God. " (Rev. 19:1)
They are in heaven because they have been raptured to heaven as Enoch was taken off of the earth. This taking is a vindication that a critical mass of the church has overcome to move out of themselves into God's best.
"For true and righteous are His judgments; for He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and He avenged the blood of His saints at her hand" (v.2)
I will not say much about this now. But you can see that God's judgments are righteous. And the Devil has corrupted Christianity to the point that even the saints themselves were martyred, killed, slain, Inquisitions did this. Inquisitions from the apostate and corrupted Christiandom.
For Jesus warned the disciples that in the age following His ascension men would kill the disciples thinking that they were doing the will of God. And that even under the banner of doing something for Jesus - for God. This is not limited to the persecution of men like Saul of Tarsus on behalf of Judaism. Much more killing of the Christians was done by the Roman Catholic Church. According to Fox's Book of Martyrs, the RCC killed more Christians than the Roman Empire.
"These things I have spoken to you that you would not be stumbled. They will put you out of the synagogues; but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.
And these things they will do because they have not known the Father nor Me.
But these things I have spoken to you that when their hour comes you may remember them, that I told you of them. Now these things I have not said to you from the beginning, because I was with you." (John 16:1-4)
