@Ghost-of-a-Duke

What is so special about you standing in a field looking up in wonderment at the stars? I can't do that?

These little morsels of yours are not all that impressive.

Umm. A Christian can stand in an empty field and look up in wonderment and amazement at the stars.

Better still he can give thanks and say "This is my Father's world."

Exactly. You put wool in your own eyes.

Tomorrow I will help you remove it.

Nope. No wool over my eyes. The veil is taken away from my heart, and the "eyes of my heart" - my spiritual eyes see clearly. This is my Father's world.

I finally feel at home in my Father's universe because I know I am not a lucky accident.

I feel I am looking at what I see not as a two dimensional being - soul and body.
But that crucial, critical third indispensable dimension to my total humanity - a regenerated human spirit.

Like the prophet Zachariah said - " The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him." (Zech 12:1)

You look at what you see in that field with one part of your being DEAD . It doesn't matter how much complexity your brain can contemplate. Spiritually you need to be made alive from that comatose and deadened state. You must be born again.

No doubt tomorrow you'll tell me all about a Dyson's sphere level 5 super megastructure civilization.

your hypocrisy in judging others will only melt peacefully into the dust.
Whereas all your self-sanctified, sanctimonious sneering at others is not, according to your ideology, going to end with you "melting peacefully into dust", is it? No, apparently it is going to end with you being "deified" as a "Godman" who "eats Jesus", with possibly a somewhat senior rank thrown in as a reward for regurgitating Witness Lee stuff on this chess website which you have identified as "good works".

You want to assume some grandiose machismo renders you autonomous and your own evils will not be noticed? Its not smart. Fear of a non-existent deity is not wise.Assumption of a non-existent immunity isn't either.
What on Earth is the use of this preaching-to-the-choir posturing to a person who does not believe in your God figure?

What is a person who does not believe in your God figure supposed to make of your chest-thumping and mealy-mouthed dark mutterings about them being punished and them needing to fear some deity that you just so happen to imagine is real?

What is a person who does not believe in your God figure supposed to do?

Pretend to believe? Do you believe your God figure will go for that?

Do you really think your feeble 'what if you are wrong' + 'here are details of what'll happen' + 'ha ha you're not so smart now' rhetorical tactic has any intellectual or spiritual traction?

I supposed I'd get it if you were preying on vulnerable people or very young children, but what is the purpose of your dumbed-down approach here when you are talking to people with whom you have swapped tens of thousands of posts?

Now, let us begin today's lesson. Take a few minutes to ponder this question (pray on it if you must). When you cast doubt on such human achievements as man walking on the moon, is this born from a primitive fear that man is exceeding his station and trying to be God himself, or perhaps that such achievements might be the end of biblical knowledge that places human origin in a garden?

How did you like that guy's vision of the Dyson sphere ? Pretty spectacular huh?

Problem is few future visionaries see the tragic drawback of man's sinning nature as an terrible impediment. He would probably figure out how to make a Black Hole Bomb to do his enemies in.

Sin is the huge impediment.
They don't see that the man created to have image and dominion over God's creation was to be a man like Christ - filled with God and absolutely righteous and saturated with God's holiness - glorious too.

They still think a fallen man can exercise dominion over the creation. This is vanity and futility. This is the making of a Tower of Babel which can only result in confusion.

But the sons of God will inherit the creation and accomplish what the fallen man has attempted for centuries. Creation was not made to be subject to the sin filled man but to the God-men, the saved through Christ's salvation.

Your lesson is going to be about the Tower of Babel 2.0.

Well Teach, one problem about the Brave New World you are about to educate this poor believer on is history shows something else.

A Brave New Garbage Can we are dealing with today was due to sheer greed of fallen sinful men who thought the selling of energy from materials in the earth could go on forever.

Subsequent generations to these mighty tech visionaries are left with the garbage they don't know where to put and it builds up or how to fix the atmosphere that its emissions is heating up to alter the climate.

A Brave New Garbage Can their children inherited rather than "Our Friend the Atom". Remember that Disney promise? The Atom was going to be the genii in the bottle to solve all civilizations problems for good?

The sinning nature of man needs to be conquered via the dynamic salvation of the Son of God.

Threats to biblical knowledge huh? Okay.

Could we start here? What scientific achievements have debunked the biblical knowledge Paul wrote about as a sinning nature which man KNOWS he should overcome, and WANTS to overcome, but simply gets dragged down by it?

"So then the law is holy and the commandment holy and righteous and good.(Rom. 7:12)

For we know that the law is spiritual but I am fleshy, sold under sin.(v.14)
For what I work out, I do not acknowledge; for what I will, this I do not practice; but what I hate, THIS I DO. (v.15)

But if that I do not will, this I do, I agree with the law that it is good.(v.16)
Now then it is no longer I that work it out but sin that dwells in me.(v.17)
For I know that in me, that is in my flesh, nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but to work out the good is not.(v.18)

For I do not the good which I will; but the evil which I do not will, this I practice. (v.19)

But if what I do not will, this I do, it is no longer I that work it out but sin that dwells in me." (v.20)

Where is the technological marvel that has rendered this biblical knowledge obsolete? Where's the science that nullified Paul's final cry in Romans chapter 7?

"For I delight in the law of God according to the inner man. But I see a different law in my members warring against the law of my mind and making me a captive to the law of sin which is in my members.

Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from the body of this death?" (vs.23-25)

Is there some new gadget that helps you overcome that sinning nature dragging you down to offend your own conscience?

I need something more than that we know that lightening and thunder is not caused by Zeus throwing lightening bolts from Mt. Olympus.
