@sonship saidI have never claimed to have lived a perfect life.
Is there any particular reason why I should assume you, unlike the rest of us, have lived a perfect life?
But what does how "perfect" [or not] your life or my life is, in moral terms, have to do with me ~ and it's only me, not you, lest we forget ~ supposedly being burned alive?
How does the supposed threat of non-believers being burned alive - and the firm belief that this inexplicably sadistic violence will not be visited upon you - make you "accountable"?

but when you are up against faith
you have no chance
@lemondrop saidIf by "no chance" you mean there is no hope of modifying sonship's mindmap so that he sees moral issues the same way as I do, then I can assure you that I harbour no such hope.

I see sonship's belief ~ that it is right and just for me to be burned alive as an act of supernatural revenge for not having the same belief in supernatural things as he does ~ as profoundly narcissistic.
I recognize that I have "no chance" of divesting him of the comfort this belief brings him.

Is there something wrong with being comforted by one's beliefs?
I have the 800 pound golden gorilla in the living room of human history - Jesus of Nazareth. It is not easy to dismiss Jesus Christ - His life and words.
"Oh that's just like Harry Potter" or some such other Internet meme doesn't do it for me.
You may take comfort in the belief that a vast conspiracy over a thousand years was collectively concocting Jesus and relied on some Galilean fishermen to do the final hoax. Someone like Richard Carrier I think furnishes YOU with much comfort that Christ can be swept away with a handy broom of specious textural criticism.
@fmf saidThe law of God and the law of gravity are the same; they are both immutable.
God is the mystery surrounding our origin.
Mystery surrounds our origin: this mystery exists.
Therefore God exists.
How am I doing?
It is "true" that a brick falls to the floor.
So, the law of God is "true".
How am I doing?
@fmf saidI have explained my beliefs to you.
God is the mystery surrounding our origin.

How am I doing?
You've heard them; there's no denying it.
Now, you will be burned in flames forever if you reject what I told you.
How am I doing?
I am god and I NEVER change (Mal 3:6)
I am god and I so LOVED the world that I sent my only offspring to pay the redemption price once and for ALL sinners, while they were still sinners (John 3:16)
I am god and if you don’t believe in me I will be overseeing you being cast into an eternal lake of fire (Rev 14:10)
...because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13)
Psalm 136
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever.
To Him who alone does great wonders,
For His mercy endures forever.
5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,
For His mercy endures forever.
To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,
For His mercy endures forever.
To Him who made great lights,
For His mercy endures forever.
The sun to rule by day,
For His mercy endures forever.
The moon and stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures forever.
To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,
For His mercy endures forever.
And brought out Israel from among them,
For His mercy endures forever.
With a strong hand, and with [a]an outstretched arm,
For His mercy endures forever.
To Him who divided the Red Sea in two,
For His mercy endures forever.
And made Israel pass through the midst of it,
For His mercy endures forever.
But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea,
For His mercy endures forever.
To Him who led His people through the wilderness,
For His mercy endures forever.
To Him who struck down great kings,
For His mercy endures forever.
And slew famous kings,
For His mercy endures forever.
Sihon king of the Amorites,
For His mercy endures forever.
And Og king of Bashan,
For His mercy endures forever.
And gave their land as a heritage,
For His mercy endures forever.
A heritage to Israel His servant,
For His mercy endures forever.
Who remembered us in our lowly state,
For His mercy endures forever.
And rescued us from our enemies,
For His mercy endures forever.
Who gives food to all flesh,
For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!
For His mercy endures forever.
Yeah but, not really ... ‘cos lake of fire if you don’t believe and all that...

1.) Romans 10:9 only mentions confessing with the mouth "Lord Jesus" and believing in the heart that God has raised the Lord Jesus from the dead, as the sole criteria for being eternally saved.
2.) I have pointed out before, a few of these verses on the enduring mercy of God are in terms of Him defeating the enemies who oppress His people.
Dealing with His enemies who have become His people's enemies is part of His mercy to His people.
To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,
For His mercy endures forever.

@divegeester saidYou typed out "For His mercy endures forever" like a robot 25 times and then ended with this glib, basically meaningless dismissal of the very crux of what you are being asked about. What rhetorical objective do you think you have achieved by typing... "Yeah but, not really ... ‘cos lake of fire if you don’t believe and all that..." as the finale of your copy paste?
