I have complete and total trust and faith in the Bible and in everything God says there. I know and believe it is absolute truth and was "Inspired" by God

Thanks galveston75. I don't think I could ever have complete trust and faith in anything. But that, as they say, is a debate for another day.

On that note gentlemen (and ladies?) I suggest we draw the thread to a close. We have given the debate a good airing but I, for one, have a Bible that isn't going to read itself. So no more from me on this one.

Thanks for your comments and viewpoints. It was refreshing and just maybe if your'e able to peek into your Bible from time to time it might develope a little faith for you.
For most it does take time but once it does it can truly give you a great hope for the future and to help you understand how alive the Bible is today even with it's age.
But use discernment which I feel you have and look for the truth in the Bible and avoid all the man made doctrines and traps that are not taught in it.

Which part did you find "refreshing", the part where he agreed with you or the part where he dissagreed with FMF?

But what kind of conscience would cause one to refuse permission to medical professionals to give a blood transfusion to save the life of their child?

a conscience corrupted by religion. here's another one for you. what kind of conscience would cause someone to murder his own daughter because he promised a sacrifice to god in exchange for a victory in battle and god gave him that victory?

Well, galveston75 hasn't responded as yet to my analysis.

However, if he were to disagree in some way, what of it? You posted a while back that JWs were essentially all programmed to believe the same thing in the same way. If galveston75 and robbie had a slightly different perspective on this issue, then that would rather undermine that claim, wou ...[text shortened]... group in Barnet looks like Seven of Nine, I might change my mind about his offer of lunch.....
JWs are human beings, not members of the Borg Collective.

There was a JW who passed through this forum a little while back, he only posted a few times. He was American and had just been to a big JW gathering somewhere in California if i recall. He felt it was something to rejoice the fact that there were a few thousand people in one building who all 'looked the same, talked the same and thought the same'. If that's not a 'Borg Collective' mentality i don't know what is.

actually if one goes to a convention, especially an international convention, one can
see all manner of national costume, look at these beautiful Mexican brothers and
sisters in their national costumes,

You seriously, seriously have not one ounce of a clue do you? When and where was the last assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses you attended to see what we look like? Have you ever attended one of our International assemblies to see the dress of all the representatives from the Brothers and Sisters from such countries as Africa to see the beautiful and colorful native dress they wear?
When and where were these assemblies at that you attended to see how we dress to make this claim and lie that you are stating here in public? Please give those locations and dates if you will? And in fact since you have such expert first hand experiance, please post the pics you no doubt took while you were there and let us see the borg look alike people you say we are??????????????????
