What are your thoughts on Barack Obama, the Christian? Will you be voting for him?

Originally posted by BadwaterThere's a time and a place for exegesis. This thread is devoted to sharing the Gospel. It is hearing the word of God itself which imparts faith, generally not exegesis, no matter how brilliant. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). It occurs to me that there's not enough sharing of the Gospel in these forums.
So much for any semblance of exegesis. 😞

Paul is cursing you for preaching a gospel other than what he preached. Paul never taught that Christ is God in the flesh.

Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Here is the Gospel preached by Paul:
"Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you— unless you believed in vain.
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures..."

more to the point its long long winded, and treating us very childish, like, we never read the bible. debate from your knowledge of the truth given to you quotes are easy they are written for you. epiphinehas

Here is a sample prayer you can offer to Jesus. It does not have to be exact, but you will get the idea.
"Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned against you. I know that I am not perfect and that I cannot please you through my own efforts. I know that I deserve to be judged according to my sins. And, I know that I have nothing to offer you.
"Lo ...[text shortened]... you as Lord of my life and as savior of my soul. Lord Jesus, save me. I look to you alone."

Your opinion is noted, sir. Thank you.
Your gospel is not of Christ, but of men.

"God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God" (Ephesians 2:8).
Thanks for responding.

Your interpretation of the gospel clearly reflects the greed of man. I want, I want, I want... but I dont want to DO. I just want to sit on my butt and GET GET GET. What a joke your gospel/doctrine is !!!

The teachings of Christ and Paul is about giving, loving, caring, helping. How can you ever fulfil the second greatest commandment 'love thy neighbour as thyself' if you preach that 'works profit nothing'? To demonstrate your love for your fellow man is WORKS.
The teachings of Christ is the way to salvation, and the more you continue to preach that rubbish, the more gullible people you will mislead and the more you will have to answer to on the day of judgment.
Matt 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
