@ghost-of-a-duke saidAs a hard atheist you don’t think a belief in supernatural beings, miracles and the such like is delusional… This is your position?
No, that's the irony. I don't think you are at all delusional for holding the beliefs you do. It is you (and FMF) who thinks you might be delusional.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI haven’t “labelled” anything, I’ve recognised how the scientific community and atheists view theists, and I’ve acknowledged that based on that perspective if lost my faith I would look back on my time as believing in supernatural beings, miracles as the such as being delusional.
He did more than that. He labelled his beliefs delusional.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidYes, in terms of being "deluded" as in believing something that is not true.

When he doubts his faith, he entertains the thought that his beliefs may pertain to things that are not true: i.e. delusions.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidWould you like to see the screen grab of the ludicrous explanation Suzianne gave of how the post was made by someone else during a physical struggle by her and a house guest to regain control of her laptop and how her thumb pressed a key and the post was made?
Already answered. Keep up.

@divegeester saidIt's not "delusional" from the point of view of a psychiatrist, although he equates me thinking that your beliefs in the supernatural are delusions with me questioning your sanity for some reason.

@divegeester saidYou could send it to his local government e-mail address.

@divegeester saidI think you are incorrect to believe such things. I think it is born from a desire to have answers to all the big questions of where we came from, to make the world a less scary place. I don't think delusional is helpful in this context, though other atheists may consider you as being self deluded. Faith, I think, has to be factored into the equation.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidDo you think a sincere belief in fairies at the bottom of one’s garden is delusional?

@divegeester saidActually, this is what you said:
I haven’t “labelled” anything, I’ve recognised how the scientific community and atheists view theists, and I’ve acknowledged that based on that perspective if lost my faith I would look back on my time as believing in supernatural beings, miracles as the such as being delusional.
"Oh I am delusional, I’m a theist. I consider this a lot. Nevertheless I have a faith anyway."

@divegeester saidGhost of a Duke.
Would you like to see the screen grab of the ludicrous explanation Suzianne gave of how the post was made by someone else during a physical struggle by her and a house guest to regain control of her laptop and how her thumb pressed a key and the post was made?
Third time of asking 🙂

@divegeester saidAre you claiming that was delusional or a lie?

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI’m happy with what I said and stand by it. You are free to interpret it any way you chose if you feel it helps you.
Actually, this is what you said:
"Oh I am delusional, I’m a theist. I consider this a lot. Nevertheless I have a faith anyway."

@ghost-of-a-duke saidOnce you answer my question which I’ve asked you three times, I’ll answer yours.
Are you claiming that was delusional or a lie?
Feel free to keep dodging it if you like.

@divegeester saidI’d like you to answer this one also please.
Do you think a sincere belief in fairies at the bottom of one’s garden is delusional?
