@ghost-of-a-duke saidYour comment about the "Beano" comic was "flippant". The thread title isn't.
It really is.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidYou’re making yourself look silly Ghost of a duke.
Which explain the flippancy of the quote in the title of the thread. Clearly you have no real understanding of the stigma around mental health and the impact it can have on individuals.
It was this hair-trigger faux virtue grandstanding that triggered the feud between yourself and FMF a couple of years ago. You would do well to pause for a moment and take stock.
@fmf saidIt stigmatizes mental illness in its entirety, whether you realize it or not. Perhaps this might have been mitigated if your OP immediately called it ridiculous and attributed the context correctly. But alas.
Call it how you see it. I think you are mistaken though. I don't think anyone has been stigmatized by this thread or by its title.
@fmf saidIt's less damaging to be flippant about comic books. This is scientifically proven.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidNo it doesn’t. And I'm pretty sure I know why you're pretending it does.
It stigmatizes mental illness in its entirety, whether you realize it or not.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidBut alas you chose to see it a platform to simultaneously vent your bruised spleen and signal to the forum your virtue on the topic.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidMy supposed "flippancy" is "scientifically proven"?
It's less damaging to be flippant about comic books. This is scientifically proven.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidAnd it appears that FMF is in a dimension parallel to divegeester's.
Dive clearly lives in a parallel dimension.
Obviously they've never had any real exposure to real mental health issues.
Except their own perhaps.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidFMF was being anything other than flippant and you well know it.
It's less damaging to be flippant about comic books. This is scientifically proven.
Pause and take stock.
@josephw saidI assure you I have had more than one close-up and significant exposure to the blight of mental illness.
And it appears that FMF is in a dimension parallel to divegeester's.

You’re trying to ride a partisan bandwagon here Jospehw and you would be better served by addressing the topic rather than trying to lever Ghost of a duke’s perspective to suit your petty forum point scoring.
@divegeester saidYou really are a prize numpty. I say that without any hint of flippancy.
FMF was being anything other than flippant and you well know it.
Pause and take stock.
