@fmf saidNo. I think you were using mental illness in a flippant, insensitive and unnecessary way, playing into the false narrative. You yourself later described the quote as ridiculous. Why not say that in the OP?
It wasn't necessary. If you think that it was me expressing my opinion, then so be it.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI disagree. I think the thread title, the OP and the topic are all fine.

@josephw saidI’m not interested in nor talking about “terrorist attacks”; perhaps start another thread on that.
Over there? Do you mean there are no terrorist attacks there?
"Since 1970, there have been at least 3,395 terrorist-related deaths in the UK, the highest in western Europe."

"AIDS is God's punishment for homosexuals."
If that claim were to be true, what would be the implications for Christian attitudes to treating HIV-positive homosexuals?
Would that title/OP be a repugnant perpetuation of homophobic views?
@divegeester saidWhy start another thread? You'll just dodge the fact you got caught with your pants down there too.

@fmf saidSure, if you didn't immediately repudiate and contextualize, explain the quotation marks."AIDS is God's punishment for homosexuals."

What I dislike, is posting whatever disturbing title you want and then immediately hiding behind the words, 'if that claim were to be true...'
@relentless-red saidThank you.
Completely agree.
The important issue being that mentally ill people are less likely to be incarcerated for violent crimes than the non mentally ill. e.g. prevalence of schizophrenia is roughly 1%, but less than 1% of homicides are committed by people with schizophrenia.
The myth that it is the opposite perpetuates the stigma, that prevents many people with menta ...[text shortened]... t renew the four years for the price of three subscription I purchased in Feb 2020, when it expires.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidI know you personally dislike it. But I don't care. I think your posturing is silly. You could have simply suggested that I had done something different with the OP. Instead you have produced page after page of boring 'performative 'outrage'. I think you have made a bit of a fool of yourself.
