It is a rare thing for me to be rooting for Robbie Carrobie[hidden]nothing personal Robbie but in general your arguments are terribly flawed[/hidden]but given that ToO is one of the more self-righteous, binary minded, antagonistic, hypocritical, and immature posters here who is also, if I must be absolutely honest, a bit of a cock! I feel compelled to say...
Go Robbie Go!!! 😵
As a matter of curiousity, why don't you cite a few examples of my hypocrisy?

Would a rational person rather hear the truth or a lie? Why?
Too right I'd like to hear a lie sometimes! - especially if the truth serves no virtuous purpose other than to avoid false information - and the lie might inspire me on account of this false information, with confidence and optimism to act such that the truth is no longer pertinent anyway.
See how I qualified that statement both with "sometimes" (=/= all times) and a justification/good-intentioned motivation for the lie?
You see ThinkOfOne I genuinely do believe that some (no ToO some =/= all) lies are good, and that's a) because I don't want my already "realistic" view of the world to be tarnished further by the formal recognition that out of N people I recall speaking to, M of those strongly disliked something about me (and lacked the ability to lie about it just to keep the mood pleasant) and b) because I'm a deeper thinker than yourself - not tied to a black and white representation of the world devoid of subtlety or nuance (sorry but you do come across as a pontificating dimwit).
As for your hypocrisy, I'm not going to cite the entirety of the Corporal Punishment thread where you chastise others for not acknowledging the arguments you make when it is blatantly bloody obvious there is only one person guilty of that practice, namely you! (why?
hint: do you think I think you\'re worth the effort? How many posts are in that thread?
). More I'll concentrate on your act of deception here where you attempt to imply that I generally prefer lying as opposed to my seeing its situational merit in some cases. Yet you hold lying/conveyance of false information is always wrong!!! which, by the way, makes you the type of despicable, loathsome human being that would offer up his own mother for a gang rape if asked the question (by a gang of rapists) \"where precisely is your mother most likely to be found right now?\"

did you take the time to find out what Galveston meant? no you did not, do you
understand anything with regard to the operation of the Holy spirit and how it
communicates, no you do not. can you prove that the governing body of Jehovah's
witnesses have not been recipients of the Holy spirit? no you cannot. can I, no i
cannot, therefore as trolls and you pick up bad
habits, a piece of unsolicited advice, i know, but there you are.
I did. I asked him numerous specific questions for which he gave point blank answers. I asked him if the Holy Spirit had directly communicated with anyone within the JW organisation, he replied yes. I then asked if this communication would have been with members of the Governing Body, he replied yes.
All i'm asking is if you agree with his views? You either do or you don't.
As for the rest of your post, it's nothing but a clumsy straw-man. I'm not questioning the truth of Galveston's claims, i'm an atheist remember i don't believe in God. I'm asking if you agree with him.

Nowhere in my question did I say or even imply that you ALWAYS like it. My, what a "deep thinker".

On the one hand you claim that " there is only one person guilty of that practice, namely [me]", yet also seem to claim that others did not address the arguments I made because I'm not "worth the effort". My, what a "deep thinker" again.
EDIT:You see ThinkOfOne I genuinely do believe that some (no ToO some =/= all) lies are good, and that's a) because I don't want my already "realistic" view of the world to be tarnished further by the formal recognition that out of N people I recall speaking to, M of those strongly disliked something about me (and lacked the ability to lie about it just to keep the mood pleasant)
Not sure but it seems like you are essentially saying that you'd at times rather have people lie to you about yourself because it might further spoil how you view yourself. If so, that's one fragile ego you have there.

hint: read the other hint again!
, no mention of what others thought; further "[I] like it when others lie to [me] about [my] abilities" carries with it the implication of generality.
As for being a deep thinker, my statement: "because I'm a deeper thinker than yourself " requires only that I be a deeper thinker than you!!! (though I am actually quite a clever chap - don't be jealous though - I'm sure that in some way, someone thinks you're special! 🙂 )
Originally posted by AgergQuite frankly, I don't see you being a "deep thinker" in the least. You seem to be about as superficial as they come.

Read your edit - you're merely re-asserting a conviction I disagree with (in the belief that there exists n such that for all N > n, N re-assertions of proposition A establishes the conclusion)

Can you elaborate on this?

Isn't it just!...you asked me if I can elaborate on what I said and I, acknowledging that I do indeed have that potential, answered in the affirmative. 😵

As for tarnishing that view...well you tried (bless ya little cotton socks!)...but since I don't acknowledge your worth around here it's all good still 🙂
