@great-big-stees saidI can't see how it could ever be achieved.
Why One World Religion? Why not none?
@great-big-stees said"Religion is the opium of the people", according to Karl Marx.
Why One World Religion? Why not none?
Hard to break the habit I guess.
Something better is coming though.
@secondson saidI disagree. I think there will never be 'no religions'.
It will. Just believe.
I knew last year that there had been arrangements behind the scenes and that the pope had been making visits towards the goal of creating/heading a one world religion. When I told my boss (Catholic) that the Pope had been courting Islam he wouldnt beleive it.
There was a document signed earlier this year between Islam, Christianity, Judaism and some other faiths (which I havent Id'd). This doesnt prove the one world religion to my way of thinking, but I find it interesting. To achive this they have abadonned god's name, very reminiscent of what Christendom did when it removed the tetragrammaton and decided to replace it with "The Lord".
"We, who believe in God and in the final meeting with Him and His judgment, on the basis of our religious and moral responsibility, and through this Document, call upon ourselves, upon the leaders of the world as well as the architects of international policy and world economy, to work strenuously to spread the culture of tolerance and of living together in peace; to intervene at the earliest opportunity to stop the shedding of innocent blood and bring an end to wars, conflicts, environmental decay and the moral and cultural decline that the world is presently experiencing."
If they were that serious the first thing that they could do is call upon their followers to lay down their arms and stop killing anyone.

What are the Christians and Muslims who live peacefully side by side up and down my street to make of words like these?
@secondson saidNo that you explain it like that I can't see how FMF could resist...
It will. Just believe. 🙂
@fmf saidThey, the Christians and Muslims living peacefully side by side up and down your street, should realize that they live in a bubble outside the halls of power where it is decided the direction the political, economic, cultural and religious world is headed.

@secondson saidIndeed, there is treachory afoot. The papacy (load of stuff on the internet and speeches and clips on youtube) has been touting the United Nations as "Gods will on Earth", and over the last five years in particuar have themselves been advocating the one world government (you think they dont know the aganda?)
They, the Christians and Muslims living peacefully side by side up and down your street, should realize that they live in a bubble outside the halls of power where it is decided the direction the political, economic, cultural and religious world is headed.
Most of the religious structures that i am awar of are top down, with the down stream being compartmentalisesd - difficult to pucsh back. So the faithful more or less do as they are told until it kicks off , and now for some maths.
Approximate figures.
Catholics 1.2 billion
Muclims 1.6 billion
2.8 billion without the jews any anyone alse. According the treaties signed (please note signed) there is only room under the new arrangement for 0.5 - 1 billion people. Quite an interesting conundrum.
@secondson saidAnd what do the words I quoted in the post you are replying to, specifically, say ~ to you ~ about "the direction the political, economic, cultural and religious world is headed"?
They, the Christians and Muslims living peacefully side by side up and down your street, should realize that they live in a bubble outside the halls of power where it is decided the direction the political, economic, cultural and religious world is headed.
@fmf saidI'm not clear on which ones you are referring to FMF but to save a paper chase I'll assume the stuff that I have posted - I doubt that they know about it. I work with a lot of Muslims and they haven't mentioned it (bearing in mind that I've only just found out)
medullah?
If you look at organised religion as a whole it seems quite consistent to have a furtive leadership who preach one thing and do another.
