@divegeester saidWhat does it say about Christianity that their need for a Savior begins with a story that not many believe is true, or that Adam and Eve existed at all.
Not “many”, every Christian believes this.

@chaney3 saidWhat does it say about the crabby secondary pollen of a minor planet that they would rather engage in verbal wrangling than appreciate the source and context of their being?

@chaney3 saidNo Christian in this thread has said that the Eden account “is not true”.

I have said that it is symbolic and allegorical, which I believe it is. However I do believe that the core concepts, principles and moral mechanics are “true” and that the human race is spoiled, ruined and in need of a saviour because of pre-historic events which are depicted by the account of the garden of Eden.
@divegeester saidIs it just the resurrection of Jesus Christ, or more, or other...?
Yes of course, it’s difficult to be a Christian, or even a theist otherwise.
@chaney3 saidNo I didn’t, please read my posts rather than making stuff up.
Yet, you said the story is likely untrue.
@caesar-salad saidEvery Christian believes that the need for Christ stems from the need for a savour and the only need for a saviour is due to the origins of sin and death which is in the garden of Eden.
How do you know that?
@bigdoggproblem saidAre you going the long way about asking me for a list of supernatural things which I believe have happened? Or are you asking what I believe about the bible is literal vs symbolic or metaphorical?

@bigdoggproblem saidYou’ve lost me BDP. Not trying to dodge, just not sure what it is you’re asking.

If you want to know if I believe in supernatural stuff, sure I do, lots of it. If there’s something specific please ask.
@chaney3 saidMost of the Christians on this website not only believe that the account of Adam & Eve is "true", they also believe it is literal.
It's difficult discussing the origin of sin, and Adam and Eve.....when nobody really believes the story is even true.
@divegeester saidOf the supernatural events recorded in the Bible, which do you believe actually happened?

(It doesn't have to be a list. Just one or two of the most noteworthy is fine.)
