Most of these questions can be answered by looking at the other books in the Jewish library. The bible is not the only source of credible information, neither is it a complete description of all that transpired in those days.

I agree some. However, those other books cannot be used much as credible evidence at this time, seeing that they did not make it into the printed Bible.
Either way, please feel free to use any of the other books also.

A pointless discussion about whether or not Cain had sex with his sister really is not part of what the Bible was meant to provide. The Bible has enough for man to understand Gods purpose and to know what he needs to do to get eternal life.

God would have inspired dozens of other people whose writings did not make it into the Bible. Even if a man is not inspired that does not mean he is going to write a bunch of lies.

This idea that people have that only books that made it into the Bible are true, is ridiculous.

I disagree that this is a pointless discussion. I do agree that many other things were written that we do not have easy access to today.

The long life in the scriptures shows fewer errors limiting life one of the genetic reasons interfamily marriages have similar issues is that another healthy family bloodline would not share the same issues to keep life healthy going forward. The law ended family interfamily marriages forbidding it through Moses, you can read in the OT that many people desired family to start their family before that occured.

Good points.
Abraham described Sara as his half sister through his dad; different mothers.
Isaac was first cousins with his wife.
Jacob's 2 wives were his nieces and they were sisters.
God's commandment against incest came soon after in Leviticus.

Furthermore, God understood Cain's fears and put a mark on him to keep him safe.
