What is the point of all these sarcastic questions? Are you that unhappy?

not help you there. But you don't have to try to make me understand
how prejudiced I am against other religions, for I already know that.
Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. HalleluYah !!! 😏
P.S. Do you know what religion the abortion doctor belonged to?

Can't you see that kind of religious prejudice is exactly what leads to religious wars? "How many deaths does it take for you to know that too many people have died?" I wonder if you recognize that quote?
Do you think your religion is the only one where people feel totally prejudiced against all other religions except their own, fully believing theirs is the true religion and all others are not worthy of discussion, but fully worthy of being killed because they are not their religion?

leads to the Prince of Peace, not war. No, I do not recognize that quote. I
think you must be referring to the religion of Islam and those that worship
the liar and murderer Satan the Devil in the name of Allah. It is the only
religion that has a holy book that tells the followers to kill the infidels were
ever you find them. In contrast, my Lord says to even love your enemies.

Numbers 31:3
3So Moses said to the people, "Arm some of your men to go to war against the Midianites and to carry out the LORD's vengeance on them.
Now there is a celebration of peace if I ever saw it.
Oh, I forgot, you get to reject parts of the bible you don't like. Sorry.
Originally posted by sonhousePeace would be to continue to allow the Midianites to burn children to their idols, have temple prostitutes, practice beastiality, incest, homosexuality, witchcraft, etc. ? Then this would be your peace ?

The judgment upon the Canaanites included the termination of all these and more evil practices. But your idea of "peace" is to be allowed to practices all these things indefinitely ?
God gave the Canaanites at least 400 years to stop these sins (Gen. 15:13-16). When the iniquity of the land became intolerable, God brought in the dispersement, the judgment, and the conquest.

Gee what a nice religion you have there.

The sins of the Conquistadores do not mean that there is no God. Sorry.
Neither does what happened to the Azatecs or the Hopi Indians mean there is no final accounting, no final judgment, no forgiveness, no Savior, or no redemptive salvation.
No one is getting away with anything. Even the Christian can be forgiven for all sins. But he cannot remain the same forever as he was when he sinned. He must be transformed in sanctification.
All these things you bring up do not make God not be real or not exist.
The sins of religion you love to bring up do not nullify God or make there be no righteousness of God.
If Christopher Hitchens did die and go to the punishing section of hell, he may be surrounded by the dupes who believed his words. In which case they are probably furious with him that they are in the same state of retribution that he is.
I can hear the famous athiest warding off multitudes of young impressionable minds suffering along with him - "You had your own mind to make up. Don't blame me !!!"
I do not know this is the case. But I do know that I have to take Jesus seriously in Luke.
"And in hell he lifted up his eyes ..." (Luke 16:23)
Jesus said that that man, in that teaching, came to the realization that the word of God had been TRUE. His only desire at that point was to hope that his five brothers who were still alive, would not also join him where he now was.
And I wager, if Christopher Hitchens' soul is now in damnation, I bet he doesn't want YOU to have to come to the same place.
"And he said, Then I ask you, Father (Abraham), to send him [Lazarus] to the house of my father - for I have five brothers - so that he may solemnly testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment. But Abraham said, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
But he said, No, Father Abraham; but if someone [risen] from the dead would go to them, they will repent. but he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead." (Luke 16:27-31)
The number FIVE as in "five brothers" or five wise virgins and five foolish virgins, is a number in the Scripture denoting responsibility. The number five symbolizes that the responsibility to hear or dismiss the word of God is upon of each person.
I do not presume to know the situation of Christopher Hitchens right now. It is not for me to judge that. But I do know that One risen from the dead, Jesus Christ, teaches of that matter. And we ignore Him at our own peril.
The time for a man to lift up his eyes in belief and in realization of the truth of the word of God, is while he lives.

for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.
(Romans 12:19)
O LORD, God of vengeance,
God of vengeance, shine forth!
Rise up, O Judge of the earth,
Render recompense to the proud.
How long shall the wicked, O LORD,
How long shall the wicked exult?
They pour forth words, they speak arrogantly;
All who do wickedness vaunt themselves.
They crush Your people, O LORD,
And afflict Your heritage.
They slay the widow and the stranger
And murder the orphans.
They have said, “The LORD does not see,
Nor does the God of Jacob pay heed.”
(Psalm 94:1-7)
We are in no position to tell God when and how He should carry out vengeance.

The one without peace is you. And you will never have peace until you know in the depths of your spirit that you have been reconciled to God in His salvation.
You are the one with no peace - like the restless waves of the sea. I'm glad I got all that settled the night I received the Lord Jesus. I am glad that I got that peace matter settled once and for all.
I hope you will also settle it with Jesus too. The sooner the better. Amen.
