@caissad4 saidSo until 2014 I could've told everyone who wanted gay marriage to push off to Sweden or something if they didn't like it?
Excuse me, you moron. Same sex marriage is LAW in this country. Do you know what a law is ? The Supreme Court ruled it a RIGHT . Sorry if it rubs your bigoted butt the wrong way . If you want religious law, move to Iran.
And take your MAGA hat with you !
Nah?
... But the good news is that I do live in a country where it isn't recognized, lol.

@philokalia saidI hope all that loving has taken place in marriage.
Nope, I love in S. Korea and have been doing so for well over a decade.
Was it appropriate for any Christians to have been chanting "Send her back!" about Rep. Ilhan Omar, who is a U.S. citizen but who was born in Somalia, at that political rally in North Carolina a couple of nights ago?
Is this another "Crappy things are happening. Let's see if we can throw all Christians into the middle of it for direct or indirect blame" thread ?
As a believer in Christ, I of course, like Abraham, am seeking "a better country."
All these died in faith, not receiving the promises but seeing them from afar and joyfully greeting them and confessing that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.
For those who say such things make it manifest that they seek after a country of their own ... But as it is, they long after a better country, that is a heavenly one.
Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them." (See Hebrews 11:13-16)
Sure Mr. trump. As a disciple of Jesus who prayers for the present government, still I seek a better country truly established on God's salvation.

@sonship saidIt's a thread on which you could comment about your faith in action and what bearing your beliefs have on how you see people chanting "Send her back!" at a rally. You don't have to get into the "middle" of any issue if you don't want to.

'Nope, I LOVE in S. Korea and have been doing so for well over a decade.'
Such a declaration warranted a response.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidLol! I didn't see that.

That's a very clean win for you, Ghost.
😆

@philokalia saidThe Ghost gracefully accepts the victory.
Lol! I didn't see that.

@fmf saidI confront you all the time.
Why do you not "bring the point home" by confronting people who you think enjoy treating Christians as a monolithic group rather than browbeating a poster whose take on this issue you now concede is"fair enough"?
And you're not going to get away with insinuating that I changed my mind regarding his comment.
@fmf saidYou're still not understanding my reply to him.
In so far as he might have been "lambasting" any Christians, as you put it, wasn't he "lambasting" more or less the same types of Christians as you do?
Not that I expected you to. Your eagerness to snark blinds you, as always. But, you continue doing you, and the rest of us will continue not being surprised.
@philokalia saidChristians should be above being fooled by a selfish heathen who only represents himself, and who is by no means Christian.
Why not?
Christians can be outraged at their country being overrun by foreigners who hate their values, and they can chant something hyperbolic, can't they?
We are all held to the standard of monks on the Holy Mountain when it suits the needs of the left, but no one is interested in raising the question of whether or not Christians should ever be supporting gay marraige, are they? They are happy if there is any hypocrisy in that regard.
"Outraged at their country being overrun by foreigners who hate their values" is, in itself, hyperbolic in the extreme. You're taking the word of an entire political party full of people whose own selfish concerns come before all else. They've been led around by the nose by those claiming to have their interests at heart for so long that they take their lies as fact. Their "outrage" is manufactured. The country is not being "overrun by foreigners" (and they certainly do not "hate their values" ), and you've been trained by your party to have a knee-jerk response against "foreigners". Maybe you should try reading what Jesus himself said about these "foreigners". Christianity is not about hate or fear, and neither is America. Your political party is only a few generations away from dying out, but because of greed, that demise, which is long overdue, won't happen soon enough.
@whodey saidDo you know what "condemning" someone entails? Apparently, you don't.
But here you are going around condemning them?
LOL.
Tell us, what would Jesus say about abortion Suzy?
Game.............set.....................................match
And by the way, Jesus would not be killing women who seek abortion, whodey.
@caesar-salad saidAbsolutely, since I never started.
No I didn't.
Are you quite done speaking for me?
By the way, you can stop grinding that axe, now.
@philokalia saidSo, in your mind, it is your "Christian duty" to not treat them as Jesus SAID to treat them?
Can an unrepentant visitor of prostitutes be a Christian?
Well, no. I don't think so.
So, can an unrepentant homosexual be a Christian?
I don't really think so.
You know, that whole "love your neighbor as you love yourself" thing? Or was that also "hyperbole"?
